How to hide the purchase url

Can anybody kindly let me know how to hide or secure the url by which one download the software after making the purchase.
Since once anyone make the payment and get to know the url he can spread the URL online thru which anyone can download the software easily without making the payment.

    If you are trying to sell a software, you don't need to hide the URL. Why? Because the customer will still need the product/license key to activate it. You can have the product key sent automatically through an autoresponder once payment is received. As a matter of fact, give out the URL and let people install the software as a trial version. This will also help to promote it. Within the software, there should be a link for people to go to the website to pay for a license. And don't worry too much about your URL or even your license key been passed around as you cannot stop piracy a 100%. So "Just Do It" and get your software out there.

      Like Deji had mentioned, you could simply put a product activation system from the server side in your software.

      However other than that, to simply protect your download url, you could use this paid software - DLGuard - Download page protector, create expiring download links - DlGuard protects your download links by blocking IPs, setting expiring timeframes, expire after a certain amount of downloads, and this prevents from un-authorized downloads.

      If you are using a free way, I think you can encrypt the download page, and force download to start when a buyer hits the download page, that way they don't get to see a link anywhere.
