Getting Reviews in Apple App Store

We are about to launch an iPhone app and I wanted to know what the best way to get reviews, since that is really the only way most people buy an app. Anyone have any ideas?

Create some coupon codes to give out to some friends- get them to download and review. You can also try fiverr.

I've had some trouble though with legit reviews not getting posted.

You should check out Fiverr, buy from different sellers, also a nice idea would be to make your app free for a few days or have an introductory 50% OFF sale or something similar. This is what catches people's attention and creates a sort of urgency in buying an app.

Hey Brian. Congratulations on launching your app. I assume you've already launched it since we're now in December. How is it going?

Regarding reviews, one of the best ways (and as obviously an internet marketer) is to actually ask for it. What's important is you integrate SDKs which prompts people to rate your app. I think there's a free SDK that you could have called AppErator. There are also some newer services such as UserVoice as well as Appsfire and AppBooster which you can use to integrate them. These are all services which allow you to integrate to prompt users to rate your app. You can also code it yourself. It should be quite easy to do. Alternatively, if you're outsourcing, get your coder to do it.

Mbacak is right. If you give people a promo code then their reviews are not counted so don't really bother with that. I'm sorry, regarding locke815, in the Apple App Store, it's not really possible to give a free trial.

If your app is $0.99, go on a app developer forum and offer to send people the dollar to their Paypal account so they can review your app. Lots of people will be happy to help you out, especially if you also offer to then review their app.
