What age are we talking about here, and why are we trying to push said child into online marketing? I'd explain it a lot differently to a five your old when compared to how I'd tell a 15 year old .

I taught my daughter when she was 12. I taught her how to sell used books on amazon because she wanted to earn money without me handing it to her to buy a laptop. She made enough money to get one then stopped. It was a valuable lesson because I wanted her to keep going cause she was making good money for a 12/13 year old. But, she hit her goal. My lesson: Sometimes when you hit your goals you need to more on.

I got on national TV cause of it and talk about it, here's the segment on Lifetime:

Hey, If you know the ropes then you should teach them yourself but if you don't then I would suggest you get them a mentor. It will otherwise take them too long to learn on their own and thats not even calculating the money they will spend on buying various courses and shiny objects that they will not be able to avoid.
So I think a mentor is the right way to go, It will save you a lot of frustration and money.

The biggest question is do they want to? or do you force them? Because, I've learned if i try to force it with my 3 kids... they push back.. However, I have found that when they get into my truck, I listen to things like Napoleon Hill so it secretly goes into their subconscious. So, I figure when they are ready they'll ask... Just like my oldest did.

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.

If it does not disturb the kid's school learning activities, you may let or teach child to learn online marketing.

But do not let the kid stay up late because of this. The kid is still in the growth.

If the kid know about how to make money, he/ she can borrow parent name for the online business.

Yes, if your children are interested in working with you then you can teach them as well, but don't take their much time, daily one hour would be good, as they have to study, they have hobbies so you have to take care of these things.

    he is at 12.
yes, he is ok working with PC.
The problem he faces now is he is very specialized on just one very special niche, uses lots of time every day, not for profit, not for money, the traffic depends on how hot his topic.

And he is involving in editing wikipedia as well - voluntary work!
So i have to warn him wasting too much time on one thing and neglect learning other things. And possibly inefficiency in working faster on tasks.

As i see he is taking too much time, i suggest he shifts some effort on learning how to make money online.

I preferred that my children concentrate on their education and get out in the world and get part time jobs while in high school. All of them are in careers that they love and none of them has ever had the slightest interest in working from home as an affiliate or online marketer.

Two of them use a computer extensively, but not for making money online.
