Hello everyone!

Just recently I discovered traffic exchange sites. Most of you probably heard about them. It's like a money making site where you can earn by just surfing, and then in exchange, you get traffic. Every time you surf, you get traffic to your site. I heard some people use these kinds of siteS not to make money but primarily drive traffic to their websites.

One example is the site easyhits4u (dot) com.

I haven't used this method yet. This is why I am asking if this actually works or if this is even worth it. What are your thoughts? I am looking forward to your ideas.

Thanks in advance.

They are a waste of time because everyone on them is trying to do the same thing -- get traffic to their sites. The traffic isn't targeted. People aren't in buying mode. Just focus on legit methods: forum and blog commenting on forums and blogs in your niche, using high-quality article directories and what not.

    Don't waste your time.

The only way to make any use of traffic exchanges is to run a simple squeeze page, and again, not worth your time.

Traffic exchange method doesn't work for any online business in long term. So don't waste your time.

I don't think Traffic Exchange Sites drive more traffic to your website. Don't waste your time and effort in doing so. Instead of this you can follow more traditional approach of getting the traffic like using high PR article directory sites, posting blog comments etc.

  • Traffic exchanges can help you get traffic and get lots of exposure, but you don't want to be sitting there all day clicking away to get credits - that would be a HUGE waste of time.

But what if everyone was promoting your site on traffic exchanges? Well in that case you would be accomplishing something worthwhile...

Thank you everyone! You've been very helpful. You've saved me from wasting my time over this kind of method in driving traffic. I was hoping to read some positive feedback about traffic exchange sites, but it seems not the best way to get and convert traffic

Traffic exchanges can work, but you have to use them the right way.

You need a splash page, not a queeze page. This is a site that is very simple and opens in another window or tab. Doing this encourages people to open your site and view it when they are done surfing at the traffic exchange.

You also need to promote the things traffic exchange users are looking for. That's the easy part...they all want more traffic.

Mr. Ninja is right, clicking site after site can take up a lot of time. Many traffic exchanges will sell credit packages, but you should make sure that you are getting results first. In other words, test them a bit before buying views to your website.

Traffic exchanges are not good or bad, they are just another method of getting your site seen. That being said, they are effective for a fairly narrow range of sites.

    All the best,
    Michael

p.s. Many, many years ago, I would spend 6 to 8 hours a day surfing various traffic exchanges, and had some success with it.
