It doesn't matter whether you "can", because it wouldn't be a sensible thing to do anyway, even if you "could".

It used to work great back in 2008-2009 when Potpiegirl's course on using Squidoo with Clickbank worked like a charm. In the meantime though Clickbank's become something of a dark spot in the eyes of Squidoo and there are very few 'good' products that you can use that won't get your lens flagged. Many of those early lenses that I did based on that course got locked. Now I'm using Amazon most of the times and products from CJ or Shareasales, Allposters, things that Squidoo HQ is totally ok about.

If you search "(product name) review" you will find that for some products, squidoo lenses rank number one or very high in the SERPS. Google likes squidoo lenses, but it totally depends on how you optimize and promote your site. If your looking for a free method, squidoo is a great option.

CAN you promote Clickbank products on Squidoo? Yes.

But not ALL Clickbank products - you have to be very careful on the topic of the product you are promoting.

Squidoo HQ has this basic list of topics they don't want on their site. If the CB product you want to promote falls into that list somewhere, you probably should NOT use Squidoo to try and promote it.

  And of course they can suddenly change their minds about that and other things, just as they have done a few times in the past, to the consternation and enormous frustration and disappointment of huge numbers of Warriors and other marketers.
  
  Or, you can use instead your own pages hosted on your own site, where you get to make up and enforce the rules yourself.
  
  If that's genuinely a difficult decision for anyone who isn't promoting some kind of Squidoo-related service or information, I respectfully suggest that they might benefit from re-appraising what they really understand by the term "running their own business" ... ?!

  Oh absolutely, Alexa! Rules change and it's maddening when they do. Squidoo does it, other free-to-use sites do it... heck, Google does it as well.
