Well, there may be many reasons for that. Firstly check your advertisement campaign. Where are you advertising (Adwords, AdCenter, Facebook, etc)? Which keywords are you targeting? Do you have backlinks? And so on and so on ... For the helping part I think in order to get members you should start using Facebook ads, because the people there are already using such an website and is most likely to go to check another one in order to meet new people.

Just creating a good website is not enough to get business. You got to amplify its appearance on web. You got to make your website available to the target audience. SEO for your website would be a solution. Its important to mark your presence on web to make people know about your existence. Try to rank high in SERPs. It will surely help you get traffic and business.

Also make sure the sign doesn't appear empty. No one will want to join a dating, social network or anything other site that is empty.

Start by asking your friends to join etc.. just to get some content/users on there.

Online dating is fiercely competitive so it's not going to be easy.

Your site only has 2 members.

That's your problem. No one is going to join a dating site with only two people on it. You need to seed the site with a couple hundred profiles (with at least 50% of them being female) before you're going to get any sign-ups.

What's your USP? Why is your dating site different from the rest? Why join your site and not Match or eHarmony or the other big names in the market?

You need to have a good number of starter profiles there and you need to do some heavy advertising in your target markets to get people to your site. No one is going to join a dating site if there is no one there to date!

    All the best with it!

Get your friends to help you make some profiles. You need to make some profiles first and then start you marketing strategy. Build some traffic to you website.

I would also revise the layout of your site. It looks very unprofessional and non-welcoming...like you threw up a quick wordpress blog and put a 'dating site plugin' on there. It also screams: please click on my Identity Theft Protection ad because I am very desperate!

No offense...just trying to be honest about my initial impression. I am currently conducting my own research with the hopes of possibly setting up my own dating site(s), and am currently looking for a good site builder. I have already accepted the fact that I will need to spend money.

    Good luck.

    • Yep, you need to really fill it out with profiles, at least enough to entice the visitors you are getting to stick around awhile. Secondly, where is your traffic coming from? Odds are if you're relying on organic traffic for a new site in such a competitive niche you're going to come up very short. So, fill out the site a bit, and invest in ramping up that traffic, or you will not get much activity for some time.

      Best of Luck!

There are few things I noticed in your site.
    1. there are too many Ads on your home page,,,, not good enough for dating site.. people come to dating sites to interact with others ,.... and not to look at Ads..
you can place Ads in internal pages... certainly not on Home Page and Landing pages..

    2. I dont see any member's profiles with photos on your home page. not good enough, if visitors wouldnt see any members on homepage, what would they expect on your site..

    3. Between the 2 members and the footer, the whole place is empty,,, not good enough,, if you don;t have enough members, put some quality, unique and interesting content there..

The thing with dating site is to force visitors to Sign Up as a member.. How to force them is to try and try different things...
try with rotating members profiles [make sure profiles are with photos]
try with quality and interesting content...

even if they are not registering, when you interesting members profiles and interesting content on home page or landing page,,, visitors will at least stay for sometime,, will check one thing or another which is again good in terms of SEO,, if they are spending at least some time on your site...

    Hope it helps...

Going to your home page, there is absolutely nothing that even tells me its a dating site. There is no content, no description, nothing, apart from non-relevant ads.

It looks like an very amateur site and certainly no incentive for anyone to join it.

Pretty much everything is wrong. Start over.

    1. Domain/site name sounds completely unrelated. You need some massive branding and an interesting story why megadigg is a dating site... or just change the name to something that makes sense.

    2. Theme doesn't look good.

    3. Remove all ads from home page and landing page.

    4. You have no text or headlines to explain what your site is about.

    5. You need a register area on the front, not a login, who cares if people can log in easier than register? It should be easier to register than log in.

    6. You need members, nobody will sign up to an empty site so you MUST SPEND MONEY on advertising, its pretty much impossible for your site to ever take off with SEO since every dating site will probably rank above you for MAJOR traffic, and a medium volume of seo traffic wont be enough to hit the tipping point with user registrations where you are gaining people faster than losing to achieve even small viral growth.

Fix all that and you will be on your way!

I went to your link and landed on a page.

At first I thought maybe this was your personal page where you were describing your business. I clicked and saw a few articles on relationships by some doctor and got bored.

First I think you need to let folks know that they are on a dating site. Also, like another person said in this thread show some pics and interaction so people know the site is alive.

I get the feeling that you really need to maybe take a course on creating dating websites or at least look around at successful dating sites and make some changes to yours.

Ok. I'm in the market for some hot dates and ............ why would I want to look at a site called Megadigg?
Your site doesn't inspire any confidence, it looks like it's been put together by a complete amateur and quite frankly it's boring.
You would be far better off using a white label dating site which is instantly populated with profiles etc.
Even using one of these WL sites doesn't mean you don't have to work. You need to get new traffic, sign ups etc. Promoting a dating site is no different from promoting any other site; you have to work hard at it.

Try hitting the search box to find out more about WL dating sites. There's loads of information already on this forum.

Try promoting your dating site actively on social networking sites like Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, etc. Or you can created banner ads and ask top dating sites or forums that are related to your niche for a banner placement so you can get added exposure and more signups for your website.

Its better if you advertise in other Social Networks or dating sites other than to advertise in any other medium....

And be sure u have atleast 30 lovely signups to attract future members....

And if a member joins ask him to invite his friends saying him that he gets benifited in a blah blah... manner...

    Happy catching
