Hello

Does anybody know if clickbank is fine with URL Shortener like adf.ly?
can i use it for my affiliate link?

You can, from ClickBank's perspective.

The problem with doing that isn't "considerations about ClickBank": it's all the other disadvantages involved in it (some of which are potentially disastrous). I wouldn't dream of it, myself, for many reasons.

  In my opinion, bit.ly is the worst and most dangerous of the whole lot (though they're all bad, and entirely unnecessary).

On the rare occasions when I use a URL shortener, I use this one http://goo.gl/

Google can't complain (I reckon :p) if you use their own!

Of course, there's no guarantee that any URL shortener site will remain active.

  I've found bit.ly isn't cb friendly these days... as are most of them.
  
  If you are going to use one, I recommend, http://sup.im
  
  It aslo has tracking and is working fine for me.

Wow, I didn't realize, until today, that this 'goo.gl' is really a URL shortener. I've been seeing this on some websites and articles and I thought those links are Google's. I have bookmarked that and I'll use it instead of bit.ly. I refreshed my memory regarding this 'bit.ly' stuff when Alexa posted those links above.

Yup, agreed with Carol. It's better to use Big G's URL shortener, before you're considering other URL shorteners!

  But it's better still not to be dependent on the continuity and reliability of an entirely unnecessary, third-party service at all.

  Agreed, avoid them in their entirety if at all possible.
  
  I remember using Tiny URL on a few of my Second Tier sites a couple of years ago and they worked like a charm but as has been mentioned- Bitly is evil and should be avoided at all costs.

I would honestly just go to YOURLS: Your Own URL Shortener and set my own link shortener up. It's far more stable, and your links can't be blocked for any reason by the 3rd party URL Shortener. Happy Hunting!

I don't use any of those third party url shortener, I am using a free plugin called "pretty link" and installed it on one of my 4 letters domain name.
