Where can I buy GOOD QUALITY images?

Hello folks,
I need some good quality images for my videos and sales page at a reasonable cost. I was wondering if you could guide me to some good sources.

Thanks,
Dan

iStockphoto has very good professional looking images at an affordable price. You may also want to try sxc.hu

I second sxc.hu, I've found many good images on the site, just like Barbara said though, make sure to check the rights of each image.

Check Dreamstime. Quality is not great on all topics, but still it is interesting.

I am surprised by the fact that with digital cameras being so inexpensive that people are still buying photos at all -- when you take your own shots, you can get whatever originality you seek and also never need to worry about copyrights.

Thanks for the reply folks. I am repeating a question or should I say a few questions I had for my previous for which I did not get enough responses. So I am asking once again.

    1. There are options like X-small, Small, Medium etc, but they don't give a visual configuration of how small the small is and how large the large is though they mention the dimensions. For those of you who have purchased, would small images suffice?

    2. Can I use the same image that I buy from Istock for my ebook, salespage and video presentations or would I have to pay for every use of the image? I am confused by the terms and conditions of use.

    3. What are the other cheap options for buying images? Do you recommend anyone's services either here at Warrior Forums or somewhere else who can do a good job of working on images without me worrying about the copyright and legal headaches?

    Thanks,
    Dan

Hey Dan!! I have gotten a TON of images from istockphoto.com...i love them so much. The small sizes are the only sizes I ever get for use generally in ebooks and salesletter on web page...great size, pretty large actually for me...works great for web stuff!

Yes, I use the same photo in different areas of my site and ebook too...i don't think you have to only use it 1 time, but I could be wrong. I believe once you buy it, you can use that more than once if you need to.

Istockphoto is pretty cheap. I get the pay as you go, its about $37 or so for 26 images I think...so about a dollar each, just know which you want to use, and the quality is really good.

Generally, x-small is large enough for most web work. It really depends on the size you need for your design. You'll need to by a larger size if you're using the image in an ebook or something that may be printed to get the resolution you need. This is a pretty general question since the size you need is going to be dependant on the use of the image.

I don't want to comment on how you can or can't use the image since all the sites have individual TOS. If you have a question about use - you should really write to the site you want to purchase the image from, tell them what you want to do and ask if it's allowed.
