What's the different of Landing Pages and Squeeze Pages?

Hi to all beloved warrior members,

What's the biggest different of landing pages and squeeze pages? If I want to promote products, let's say Clickbank's products, which type of page is going to give me the best result?

Looking for some advices here, thanks.

Wilson.

Squeeze page is something catchy that wants viewer's attention to click it to go to another landing page.

LOL I have always considered the term "squeeze page" just another way of saying "landing page". Although you could make a case that the term "squeeze page" does have more of a "marketing" connotation to it. But either would describe the page you lead new traffic to in the hopes that they will see something they like and click through to your sales content.

  • Squeeze for some is too pushy. Short term squeeze, long term landing although I think the term squeeze is a bit vague given you can have a high quality landing page with a strong call to action.

A Squeeze Page is a web page that is designed with just
ONE purpose in mind: To get the visitor to give you their
contact details (usually a minimum of their e-mail address).

The idea is that you squeeze the contact details out of
your visitor, so that's why it's called a Squeeze Page.

A Landing Page is a web page that someone 'lands on'
when they arrive at your site after they've responded
to your marketing (e.g. PPC ad, e-mail, search engine,
      Social Media, etc.).

Whilst a Squeeze Page has just one primary objective
(to get the visitor's contact details) a Landing Page
can have different objectives, e.g. to get the visitor
to buy, to get the visitor to call you, to get the
visitor to give you their contact details, to give
      the visitor more information, etc).

So a Squeeze Page is just one form of Landing Page.

      Dedicated to mutual success,

    Here's my definition.

A landing page is the first page that your potential customer will see, and you should have multiple variations depending upon the traffic source you are using. For example an adwords campaign needs to match the keyword you are bidding on, vs traffic from your forum signature here at the warrior forum.

A squeezepage is what you use for listbuilding, the sole purpose is to get the visitor to give you their e-mail address. A good squeezepage will tell people who you are, what you do, and what they will get in return for opting-in.

A landing page is the page where visitors to your site land.

A squeeze page is designed to collect their contact information.

Your landing page can be a squeeze page.

A squeeze page is a minimal page, designed to collect e-mail addresses (leads). That's their only purpose.

A landing page can be any kind of page, really. It's what a visitor "lands on" when they arrive at your site. Usually it's a page that sells or offers a product/service. A landing page can in fact be a squeeze page.

In my opinion, squeeze page should be one kind of landing pages, and you can have many kinds of landing, for example, display the sales page directly instead of showing the squeeze page.

Hey buddy, "landing page" it technically the first page you see when you click a link (you land on that page). And "squeeze page" is considered the one that have an opt-in form. So technically, a squeeze page is a form of landing page, but a landing page is not always a squeeze page... Too tricky?

Squeeze page is the first part of a sales funnel, the landing page is ideally the last page of your sales funnel, which has the "buy" button.

Sorry, I'm not trying to be rude, but where on Earth do people get this totally fictional stuff from, and why do they feel under the obligation to try to teach it to others?!

You don't have to have a lead capture, or a sales funnel, or a "buy button" at all, to have landing pages. All my websites have landing pages, but I don't have any "buy buttons" anywhere.

Caliban and Shaun have already answered the question, above. A landing page is simply a generic term for the page you arrange for your traffic to land on, by using it as a link. It can be absolutely any sort of page you want it to be: a squeeze page, a sales page, a home page of a blog, a product review page, or any other kind of page you like.

        Most ignorance is willful.

You will notice that I have given up trying to explain that a lead capture page is only one kind of squeeze page, and that a sales page or exit pop is also a squeeze page.

The whole idea of a "squeeze" page is that you can take exactly one action on it. For a list opt-in, that action is "subscribe." For a sales page, it is "buy." What makes it a squeeze page is that you are squeezing a single well-defined action out of the visitor.

Somewhere along the line, this got lost, and now everybody thinks an opt-in is the only kind of squeeze page.

A squeeze page is a landing page created to solicit opt-in email addresses from prospective subscribers.

A landing page explains your visitor about your product or service... Through this, you may or may not convince the visitor...all it depends upon the copy writing...
He may visit again if he likes it.

But Squeeze page has only few headshot lines that offer something valuable by making promise to the user... by taking their contact info, so you can catch him later .and offer another bulls**t product in the future -----> The Powerful way

None of my landing pages does that at all.

Just a little tip - sometimes it helps to read the thread, before replying.
