What a virtual Assistant could/could not do for you?

If you wanted to promote a site/brand on SEO/social media/PR, and you were only looking for high quality 100/ white hat tasks, what do you think a VA could /couldn't do for you?

What's been your experience with VA's?
#assistant #could or could #virtual

My experience with a VA is , you have to train them and instruct them on what to do.

You will tell them what to do, in most cases you have to tutor them, they are just like computers, garbage in, garbage out.

      Hi AlbertMora,

I have 2 VA working for me and in my experience you need to hire the right one.

Your interview process is very critical to understand about their knowledge and skill level on the subject matter like SEO.

I will ask the VA to rate themselves like the below and ask related questions based on the rating and get them to provide some sample works and links.

Please rate your skill level (0-10) on the following:

      1. command of English language.
      2. article directoty submission and approval
      3. forum posting in the Internet Marketing niche
      4. Blog Commenting, leave comments that contribute to the IM topic
      5. Video Marketing, create video using contents from articles or other sources
      6. Create and manage Social Media sites
      7. Blogging by creating great content for Internet Marketing niche
      8. Social Bookmarking and Back linking

A VA can do whatever you want them to do. I've used VA's and had good results, but I've taken the time to train them, teach them exactly what I want done and make sure it is done.

If you look around you can find VA's with almost any skill, but the better ones cost more money.

Work out what you want them to do, create process instruction sheets (or videos) for them and they'll really help you grow your business.

    Cheers

    Jason

VAs are employees, they are human nevertheless.. do NOT ever treat them like garbage.

Treat them as how you would treat a partner, be patience and never (I mean NEVER) curse them no matter how angry you are. People do make mistakes.

Before you hire them though, make sure you go through a thorough interview. Slow to hire but not so slow to fire. Give them chances, but after too many mistakes.. you just have to let them go.

Be sure to continue to motivate the one that are still with you. Always inspire them to do better. Tip and bonus them for a job well done.

    Hope this helps,
    Jeremiah

That's so true Jeremiah, VA's are people whom you'll be happy to have around once you've found the right one.

They will do everything you want them to do, but remember do not expect them to know ALL things right away. There are VA's whose level of expertise are not the same with high-level VA's out there. That's why the rates vary, btw.

If you are willing to pay higher, expect to get a quality VA, it all depends on you, your work demands, and your hiring process. You have to screen them carefully, know their skills, strengths, experiences, as well as weaknesses. Keep an open communication with them so you'll know how exactly you can help them to help you grow your business. Best of luck in finding one!

If you're a little hesitant, you can get a Virtual Assistant gig on Fiverr for only $5 (duh) and test out the waters. There's quite a few of them and for the most part, they all have great reviews. It's a good way to try it out without dropping too much money right away.

Virtual Assistants are equip with communication and computer skills because they are trained the way Administrative Assistants and Secretaries were. They can do industry research, calendar management, email responding, management planning etc. It's up to you, the employer, to maximize her skills. Yes, they can do SEO too, but I suggest, if you'd like someone to do SEO for you, should go to the people that are expert in the field and not to VAs.

You need to tell them exactly what they have to do, and also watch them closely for the first few days.

Virtual Assistant is a common term for freelancers, you need to find the right Virtual Assistant in order to do your work. For example as you stated above that you're looking to have "100 white hats or Social Media Marketing Services" then you need to find the right guy to provide you assistance. I believe that it will clear what you're looking to have from VA.
