INTERNET MARKETING

Hi all,

My name is Les, based in Sheffield, England and, i'm a newbie.
After some years of having and lost my engineering business (ex wife), and now with a new wife and happy again, I decided 2 months ago to have a go at IM. My first choice turned out to be a scam, according to a very good review site.
MY HEAD IS SWIMMING.
I've bought three ebooks, eight domain names and parked them, downloaded loads of free stuff and watched you all on here.
I know more than I did two months ago but, I've spent $90 and made e0.04, (probably my own click).
I know you are all trying to sell your own stuff but, can someone please recommend something to get me started.

All depends on what you're looking to get into. IM is a HUGE genre with many parts. If you are a bit more specific, you'll probably get answers that are more along the lines of what you really want.

  Go to the Warrior search function and enter bum marketing. It is a good technique to start with.
  
  Affiliate marketing is a good place to start if you don't want to produce your own product. Once you get some experience you will want to write a good informational ebook to market.
  
  Again, my opinion is to start with affiliate marketing.

  It all depends on what you want to do and what your good at. Personally I would recommend that you start with niche stores or affiliate sites first. They provide a great return pretty quickly allowing you to make money at the same time learn about seo and all the other things you need to know about for internet marketing.
  
  On the other hand you can just do article marketing advertising clickbank products which you can do for free. Using an blogger or wordpress blog you can setup a site that has reviews of products showcasing the one your trying to sell. You just write tons of articles pointing to that blog and you should see good traffic and sales.
  
  There are several programs out there for the niche stores that allow you to build sites very quickly. The one I use is BANS but everyone here has their favorite. I do pretty well with my BANS stores and I am sure people do well with the wordpress scripts etc.
  
  Anyway you can find some great ebooks that are pretty cheap in the WSO section. Most are going to teach about affiliate marketing with articles etc.

  I agree, affiliate marketing is the least expensive and most promising for getting your feet wet. While you may not strike it rich quick, at least you won't have spent a lot of time a money doing it. Meanwhile you'll be learning.

  Welcome to the forum, and good luck on your journey. IM can be tremendously lucrative once you get the hang of things.
  
  Affiliate Marketing is a great way to get started, and can be very profitable. Like anything, there is a learning curve, but keep at it and you will find your feet. In fact, some people find their feet with affiliate marketing so well that they never move on to anything else.
  
  I'd second Jestershaw's idea about bum marketing. Travis sago's course is a very useful one, you can find it at bummarketingmethod.com. Article marketing in this manner isn't for everyone, but it can be a great way to learn things without breaking the bank, as it's essentially free.
  
  I'd imagine after a weeks of doing that you'll start to see your first profits, and then maybe you'll have an idea what you want to do from there.

  PS-something else that will help is to come to the warrior forum often. Just absorb the info here, spend a certain amount of time each day reading topics etc. It's surprising how many things you can just pick up and bolt into your business model immediately.

  1) Promoting affiliate products via article /bum marketing is a good start. If you dont like writing articles you can always outsource the article writing part.
  
  2) Since you already have some ebooks, check what kind of rights you have for those ebooks. If you have giveaway rights you can submit it as a gift to giveaway events to build your list. You could get some good plr articles and use that as content for your list. Then recommend good products to your list.
  
  There are several ways to go about making money online, pick one, put massive action and you will definitely come out as a winner.
