Sales Page Advice Needed BADLY - care to help?

Hey Guys,

First of all thank you for taking a momenttolook atthis thread, your input and advice is much appreciated.

Basically I have created a product thatsolves a pretty frustrating and time consuming process for a lot of people - getting a refund from a certain company (which in many cases can take months)

The product itself is simply a short email template which can be customized easily, and in more cases than not will make the company refund within a few days.

There is also a guide explaining what to do if the email doesn't work, this guide outlines various places to document all of your correspondence, these places include the finance management for the company who refuses to refund.

So if step one ( the email fails) then step 2 will literally force them to issue the refund via some pressure from their payment provider and some other sources.

Now the thing is... I have read almost everywhere that long sales pages are the way to go, however I personally don't think there is enough content to fill a massive sales page.

So given thatthese people are desperate for a refund, do you think a really short sales page, basically a squeeze page with a buy buttonrather thana optinformwill do the trick?

Any suggestions on what I should do would be much appreciated.

Regards, Stephen.

I would say to find a clearer and more concise way to communicate the value of the product before you do anything...because the first thing I thought after reading this ^ was "who would buy that?"

      Hi,

Thanks for the input, as for who would buy it...

Many people who for months on end have tried to get a refund of over £300 and still hqve nothing to show for it.

basically, I would do something like this:

    1) catch attention of your visitor with a headline

    2) describe to them the scenario, they might get themselves into if they try to solve their problem without your help.. describe the frustrating process

    3) present to them the benefits of your product, and make it clear and concise (like sethczerepak said)

that is my suggestion for a blueprint

    Stephen:

Do this on your sales page.

    1. Empathize with your target audience. What are they going through...the pain...the frustration...the anger...etc.

    2. What other ways can they get a refund? Whatever it is, it doesn't work well. Competition is lame.

    3. Tell them how yours is better. Why yours is better.

    4. Tell them your product will get them results in 2 days (or whatever the average time is). People want to see the benefits fast, even if it's just the payment processor contacting the business in question)

Hope that gave you an idea on what to mention on your sales page.

    Good luck with your product!

You are thinking that your product is so simple and the concept so
easy that it doesn't deserve a long sales letter.

Well, one of the great "secrets" of copywriting is that you make the
complex simple and make the simple complex.

Claude Hopkins did this with Schlitz beer by being the first advertiser
to explain in DETAILS how the beer was made even though every
other beer was made the same way.

A more modern example is Steve Jobs explaining the inner workings
of the iPhone at launch time (not saying that the iPhone is simple
except to use--my 2 year old uses mine proficiently).

So you want to make your product complex by telling a
story about how you "discovered the letter", how effective it
is, how it would save them time and frustration--you can end
    up with 20 pages easily!

So start with a different approach and you'll be surprised about
    the results.

DISCLAIMER: Sorry that I had to use a "beer" example. I don't
drink alcoholic drinks neither encourage anyone to do so. This
of course makes me a less popular Warrior. :p
