Well,if you have AE it should be easy, use the green screen functions
You can design it your self just like @JaRyCu said,or pay someone in fivver.

Hey if you're still looking for information on this you can get templates for photoshop where you literally just have to apply your image to them.

Most of them are paid, some are free but usually have limited functions or are not as nicely designed.

I think on the net judging an ebook by its cover is actually quite a big deciding factor. Because from a personal point of view I take the quality of the writer's marketing efforts as an indicator of how much effort/time they have put into constructing the product - which to me acts as a good indicator for the value I may gain from it.

  • I would not waste time creating the graphics yourself. I would go to the Warriors For Hire section and search for "ecover designers". There are plenty of people who will create an amazing ecover like that for a few bucks in a very short time.

This is precisely the type of tasks you're better off outsourcing than wasting time yourself.

It's like to ask how to write a book. Actually nothing special needed (there are plenty of a freeware software floating around). The most important question is: do you know how to write books or do graphics design?

Have to agree with the outsourcing method. Unless you are a designer who is used to using these tools already, simply get someone who can to do it for a few bucks.

That particular graphic I would make with a combination of Photoshop and Cover Action Pro. Cover Action Pro will only handle the ebook and the CDs. You'd have to do the laptop and the cell phone yourself and combine all the images. If you're not a graphic designer, I'd just go to Warriors for Hire and hire one.

Cover Action Pro like others have suggested if you have Photoshop CS3 or higher. Also, you can get laptop and iPhone PSD's for free just search for "free psd" and you'll find loads of them.

Even if you don;t have Photoshop, download and install the 30 day trial and find free PSD book cover templates and go to town.

You could also use a free program called Gimp, design a flat cover and then go here to make it 3-D...

I personally never liked to create those graphics myself.

If you find yourself not being able to do this, there is a company in this forum that does this for a fee.

I have used them in the past and they do amazing work.

Here is a link to their ad. This is not an affiliate link but the actual ad that they posted in the classifieds section of this forum:

There are also some kind of templates around the web for the things you asked. Google should help.

You would need to use photoshop, with an ecover action script.

There are however several free eCover generators out there that are limited in the ability to design that you can try, that's what most people on this forum seem to be doing.

I think the main problem though, is that when their done, anyone with an honest eye for design, can tell that the work is usually not very professional looking. And that's fine it seems for lots of people who are giving free things away.

But if you really want to sell your service or product, get someone to design it for you, who knows what they are doing, not just someone who owns photoshop or uses a free graphic editor and then says that they are a graphic designer.

Graphic design is based on principles, much like the laws of science, and if those principles are not known, and used, then the work will look shabby...

Anyone can learn these principles and become a great designer, but it sure helps to have an eye for design, and a natural ability to put things together in a way that looks appealing.
