My knowledge of the online marketing / advertising industry is not so great, so I'm gonna ask for your help. Maybe you can point me in the right direction. Im looking for a site or company that does the following:
It seems that most people have a Facebook account. It also seems that many sites could benefit from sharing data between themselves in order to enhance the user experience.
For example, I am a user on a niche internet forum, gringoes.com
Gringoes.com asks me to login thru facebook, so can get my name/dob etc. and personal details.
But i'm also a member of sitepoint.com , and I've been posting there for 5+ years. They have loads more info on me there , like my post count, PM's , etc.
Is there a way Gringoes could access my information from sitepoint, maybe thru a 3rd party database, with my permission, in order to enhance their site? It wd certainly enhance the usr experience for me. For example, they could calculate a total post count for me across all the different forums I use.
Is there a company/methodology/business model/3rd party/agreement/business tool/protocol/ etc. that could do this? Obviously gringoes.com could make an agreement with sitepoint.com, but it would be a rather time consuming thing, requiring legal agreements, integration, etc. Would be much easier if there was a 3rd party (like FB/Google/...) who could handle my data for me and share it between the sites.
