What is a good conversion rate for youtube/video content?
It seems right now, that out of every 100 views we get on our videos, we'll typically get 2 calls. Then once those calls come in, the quality of the leads is outstanding. Its almost unlike any other medium I've ever used before. So this has really got me focused on video now.
My problem is this. We are targeting specific local keywords.
But they are not highly specific. I'm not gonna mention the exact keywords, but they would essentially be the same as something like:
"carpet cleaning ny".
Just so you get the idea.
Say you were targeting that keyword on youtube. And got a video ranked on page 1 of youtube. Out of every 100 views, what would be a good conversion from video to phone?
I know this depends a lot on the video content, but thats actually why I'm asking. Right now we're around 2%. I feel like our videos have room for improvement, but I still feel like their good. It takes me a good couple of hours just to put a 3 min video together.
They are not commercial looking, but more personal which I think is good for local businesses. Although I sometimes wonder if they should be more commercialized in appearance.
Anyway, should I be getting more than a couple calls per 100 views?
Thanks guys! - Red
