well guys im on the brink of buying a content rich site that gets 1000-2000 hits a day organic traffic. Its not really making money right now,the owner mostly uses it the divert traffic to his sites. I guess it gets strong traffic because it its mostly picture based site.its well in my niche and I plan to use it to refer traffic to my sites.its has PR and should be going up soon. Id say its worth the 500 what do you guys think?

Check the stats and make sure the traffic is coming from either good links (not paid ones that will disappear) or real SE traffic (assuming that is your definition of "organic")...btw why would he sell that much daily traffic for one time fee of $500???.....scratching my head on that.

$500 seems REALLY cheap to me. If all is legit then I would definitely buy it. What's the content on? Maybe someone else will buy it if you don't! lol jk

Maybe it's search engine image traffic? Only say that because you mentioned images. "Usually" that traffic does not convert as well.

I agree though, you should verify the traffic numbers and were it's coming from.

If the traffic is legit, I'd say it's a go. Feel confident about this and I think you'll be good. If not, stay clear.

I hate when you find something good then someone freakin' starts pushing you to buy!

Frankly, sounds more and more like a scam, or the sites not that good, with the way they were acting. If it's so good there wouldn't be a need to push so much. No?

Sounds like they are just trying to find what someone is willing to pay... They say $500 then you come back and say sure not a problem give me payment details, then they get to thinking "hmm... maybe we could get $750 or $1,000 - lets raise the price and say our partner neds to agree to the transaction"

I would not waste my time... but if you really want to find out ask the following.

    Hello {name},
I would like to request any and all documentation on proof of traffic so I can evaluate the traffic for myself. Also I will only pay what we first agreed on or I can just go invest my money someplace else if you insist on raising the price after we agreed.

Thank you for your time in this matter

I think you should go into content rich rather than lack of contents. Many people nowadays are more into content searching not into rankings or hits per day. They are more into the quality of a website.

If you can confirm the traffic quality for the site, yes, go for it. Like others have already stated though, if the traffic is coming from image searches, you'll find that it doesn't convert very well.
