Site Programming And Site Design

So far I've found that everything seems to go smooth if and when your web designer can communicate with your web programmer. It took me awhile to figure out the difference.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what if any questions should be asked when hiring a programmer and designer to insure that they will be comfortable and productive when building a site with each others work.


By the way....

are there any LAMP developers here? Are all LAMP developers old school coders that have been in the game for awhile?

    i think the main thing to do is to get a feel of how friendly they are, there's no real reason a happy designer and a happy programmer can't work together as long as they can understand one another. I know it can also be frustrating if you hire say an american designer and a middle eastern programmer.

    You should hire someone that can do dsign aswell as programming.. I realize that is very rare but there are a few of us that do exist that can design and code both.
