Don't Get the "Porn" Mentality When It Comes to Marketing...
I figured I'd share this analogy with you...
Some guys like porn. Me personally, I'm not much into it. I got a wife.
Anyway, I remember talking to and older guy in his late 30's at one of my prior jobs. We were discussing porn one day, and he had told me something that made good sense.
He said:
"If I'm hungry, I'm not gonna watch a man eat. I'ma make a sandwich. If I'm thirsty, I'm not gonna watch a man drink. I'ma get a beer. If I'm tired, I'm not gonna watch a man sleep. I'm gonna nod off. Just like if I'm in the mood...I'm NOT gonna watch another man ****. I'm gonna get some!
So think about this...if you wanna make money, why are you going to sit back and watch another man make money? And in some instances...even PAY him to watch him make money.
Just do it!
It's amazing how many people there are in the internet marketing arena, who haven't succeeded yet, but know all about the game. They just don't take action. They just wanna WATCH.
Like porn, it's kinda useless to watch someone else do it, especially if you want some!
So with making money, it's kinda useless to watch someone else make the dough...ESPECIALLY IF YOU WANT SOME.
Most newbies are in a 'trance' where they're lulled into a spell that leads them to go on shopping sprees for ebooks. Especially, when they buy book after book, or course after course about the same exact thing!
If you really wanna buy books, like I said in another post, buy books that will help you along this path to online riches:
* market research
* product development
* marketing strategies
* implementing those marketing strategies
Don't just sit back and watch another guru make money all day! Watch what he/she does, and copy it for your market! Learn from what they're trying to do to YOU! It's called reverse engineering...and it works soooo good in the 'make money online' niche. Why? because they're trying to make money off of YOU.
Now, I'm not against making money in the internet marketing niche. There are topics that definitely you definitely need to educate yourself on in order to truly research a market, produce a product for them, to learn how to market, and how to implement them.
My only thing is...I don't want people getting in that 'porn' mentality when it comes to this business. Don't just sit back and watch people make money, and be happy with it. It'll just leave you broke. TAKE ACTION!
