How would you monetize an unused domain?

Hi, how do you guys monetize unused domains that you have no plans to develop? Or even how to sell them for a fair price.

    It depends on where you have them registered. You can "park" a domain with ads on it. Check your domain control panel.

    I would only bother wasting time with it if:

    1) Buku organic traffic
    2) awesome domain name

    Other than those two reasons, its best to get a domain around a winning business than build a business around a domain...

    Ex. sex.com, they have been like 50 different things and cant make up their mind on what function the site should have. Their Business plan:

    1. Buy domain
    2. ?
    3. Profit

    If you don't have a generic name like pants.com, shirt.com or something so simple like that, don't bother putting ads on it. Sell it or park it and forget about it.

    Post a blog about each player on each domain and get some RSS feeds hooked up. Then place banner ads as needed.

    You could post blogs about hockey and the players. Maybe when it gets enough traffic consider selling it.

    I would just turn those domains into some auto blogs for AdSense money.

    -Get a good AdSense theme - that will give you a high click through rate.
    - Get a plug in to scrape content
    - A couple plugin's for back links - the plug ins I would use
    - Submit to RSS sites
    - Auto bookmarking
    - Auto web 2.0 property submission

    I have a few sites like these in niches with high PPC like forex.
    It's nice to have some passive money trickle in from AdSense. you could really make nice money if you build a lot of these.
