The Dreaded Buy Now Button...

So I am building an amazon affiliate site, it's taking a little while, but that's okay, I am enjoying the journey. Anyways I have a few different style reviews set up, but I haven't made enough sales as a metric, so I figured I would throw the question here.

Do I use the amazon buy it now button, or not? I have heard some info from both sides but would love to get feedback from those that are using it, have used it, or refuse to use!

Thanks Everyone!

Not most of the time no. I usually follow up with a review then hyperlink a "click here to check it out" or "click here for more reviews". That should get you a better CTR.

I would change the very last paragraph to be more like this:

That's not a link; I just colored it to look like one. You see where I would've put the link inline though, right? That's in your conclusion paragraph and it's a natural reaction, as long as you quit writing in passive voice, to click that link and see where it leads.

Do you think I should still have a blaitant, click here to see the best prices and reviews link then?

So how do I seem less biased, do I shoot one down?

I used to use the Amazon button on my site for a previous site that i used to earn. It was very highly converting - better than Paypal and Google Checkout. I think you should include it on your site... along with a Paypal button - just to give your prospects and customers their preferred method.

I don't even use a button on my Amazon sites and it always converts well.I just have a text saying something like "Click here to read more about [product name]".

      By being less biased!

The overall picture here is that you're a little too close to "trying to sell", instead of just "trying to pre-sell", which ("paradoxically"? No, not really ...) produces more sales. Jason's suggested wording above is a classic example of pre-selling.

I guess it was that easy lol, I think that just being honest and adding a Pros and Cons section is going to help with my CTR and my conversion!
