Default What do you use to run a Wordpress membership site?

Hi there,

I'm looking for a solution to the endless nightmare that involves setting up a simple 2 teir membership site on Wordpress.

I use DLGuard to protect my products, but I can't seem to get it to work from a members script side.

I am looking at Amember again, but would like to know whether other people have used them with Wordpress with relative ease and success?

Many thanks,

Nick

Nick,

DLGuard comes in handy if you're looking for a simple membership site with no "levels". I use the DLGuard WordPress Bridge at DLGuard Wordpress Membership Bridge Plugin : Pressography (non-aff - it's free) to integrate DLGuard with WordPress.

If you're looking for separate levles though, the only solution I've seen so far is to have different WordPress installations - one for free members and the other one for paid members (using DLGuard).

Of course, that's a workaround. WishList Membership plugin is your best bet and it's powerful too. A good investment if you ask me

Regards,
Sagar

Hmmm, tried these and had issues with the free plugin a few days ago.

I think Amember is the way to go, the have plugins by the looks of it, so although I'm paying $170 or so to effectively solve a technical problem, at least I will be able to stop the migraines of setting this thing up properly.

Note to marketers: Stop headaches that can't easily be stopped for free, and charge LOTS of money. Get rich.

I think fellow warrior Robert Plank has some good input on this. I am thinking of starting a membership site soon too. I read some of his comments which I thought were useful.

WP-Wishilist site is down. Is there another site for it? I'd like to look at it before buying, but interested in a membership script that works well with Wordpress.

I came across this site recently wp-Member.com Advanced Wordpress Membership Plugin it's not a recommendation only because I haven't tried them yet but will do sometime this week.

It seems to have every thing I am looking for in a membership site script.

Kind regards

John

the DLguard sounds good for my electronic products.
I am looking to protect a gallery of images and wanted to do a membership thing where they get access to the photogalleries after they pay a membership.
any suggestions? thanks.

I use Membership Software For WordPress Blogs And Web Sites (disc: I'm the developer of this script).

But I still believe this is one of the best membership scripts in terms of features-vs-price value.
