WP header

Hi,
Please can someone explain to me how to alter my boring, default header on my WP blog.
I have tried to follow a YouTube video on the subject, but no joy!

It depends on the theme you're using.

It might be a good idea if you find a theme that also has a tutorial on how to change the header, and only then deciding to go with that theme.
