It's about email marketing, but I don't know how it's called

I honestly don't know how this process or technique or whatever is called, and that's why I haven't asked AWeber or GetResponse if they capable of doing this.

I've attached an image which shows what I want to do with my autoresponder emails.

My qestions are:
1.What is the name of this type of ... whatever this is?
2.Is AWeber/Getresponse able to do this? (I would ask them myself if I could only know how to explain it to them)
3.For the people who use self-hosted autoresponders: do you have a software capable of doing this, and if yes, could you kindly point me to it?

Thanks.

Uhm, you mentioned an image that would explain what you're trying to convey, however I can't see any image? Am I missing something?

You seem to have left out an important component of your post.

    Its not loading.

Upload it to TinyPic - Free Image Hosting, Photo Sharing & Video Hosting

Then copy & paste the IMG code that it gives you, to embed the image in the thread at original size.

The image shows up fine in Firefox but doesn't load in
      Chrome for whatever reason.

      Anyways...

What you're asking is whether you can personalize the
      e-mails for lists A, B, C and D for e-mails #1 and #3 but
send everyone the same e-mail for e-mails #2 and #4.

      The answer is yes.

The terms you use to describe it depend upon which AR
      provider you use.

For example, with AWeber, you would create your separate
      lists A, B, C and D and then set-up your autoresponder
sequences for each list to have the appropriate e-mails.

In addition to sending autoresponders sequences on a pre-
defined time interval, you could also select which lists you
want to contact by selecting the appropriate lists before
      you send out your messages.

The problem is the lists are more numerous, and it would be time consuming to manually insert the generic email to all the lists. I was looking for a short-cut, so that I just insert the generic email once for all the lists.

Just for curiosity, what's the name AWeber uses for this type of situations?

@Whos that guru: I have (or want) actually 32 lists, but each one if them is slightly different, and it would be painful to enter the same email 32 times. And yes, I want automated emails, so I can't use broadcasts.

With AWeber, you get to choose which lists you include
or exclude in your broadcast (but not for autoresponders):

          https://help.aweber.com/entries/2175...multiple-lists (no affil.)

However, having multiple lists will increase the running costs
of your account because many autoresponder services charge
you based upon how many subscribers are in your list database.

To add to what Shaun said:

For #2 & #4 in your diagram, instead of adding those general emails into each list's sequence, you could just send them as a broadcast to each list.

Once you have it written, just copy/paste/send to each list as a broadcast.

UNLESS you need them to be automated.

In that case, you would just add that "general" email as the 2nd/4th followup for all lists.

    or exclude in your broadcast:
    OHH YEAH!!!!!!

I completely forgot they have that option!

lol I switched from Aweber awhile back, sorry about that

First & third email = autoresponder

    Second & fourth = broadcast

If you want to duplicate the follow up messages on list A to list B, C & D, you would use "campaign sharing." Select a list - messages - and scroll down to the bottom of page where "campaign sharing" is set to "off." Set it to "on" and copy the code it gives you into the "load campaign" bar at the bottom of each lists followup sequence.

Is that what you're looking to do?

    Sorry Lucian!

Yes, can do this in GetResponse.

You could set up a follow up cycle.
1st and 3rd message different for each of 4 campaigns
and the 2nd and 4th messages can be created
in one campaign and then copied to the rest of campaigns
    in Messages>>Copy Messages.
4 different lists of contacts in 4 different campaigns.

    Regards,
    jim

    Hi Lucian,

In addition to this, GetResponse comes with tons of videos that go into detail on how to set these kind of systems up.

You can also rely on their customer service agents to help you LIVE of you wish.

Hope this helps and good luck with it!!!
