Intergrating coupons to affiliate products possible? HELP NEEDED!

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to figure out how (or if it even possible) to integrate coupons to affiliate programs. Say I'd like to offer $30 off specific products, like iPads for example, would there be a way to give my customers discounts? I'm not the one who's billing customers so I can't give the discount myself, but maybe there's a software I could use or something?

It seemed too complicated according to the rep of an affiliate program I've spoken to, but I'm convinced there must be a way. Any ideas? I really think I could make a lot more sales and grow my mailing list if I could give discounts...

Any recommendations appreciated, thanks!

    Two ways to do this...

    1. Negotiate this out with the product owner to set up coupons for you.

    2. Offer cash back. So they are billed $97 (full price) and you then send them $30 afterwards.
    - This can be done manually or you can use postbacks if provided by the program to do it automated. However you need to watch out for people who charge back because you will probably lose your commission and then need to dispute your $30 discount transaction.

      If the product owner doesn't want to set up coupons for you (and no, it shouldn't be too complicated, he'd be increasing conversion rates for all his products) then the cashback route is a good idea but just make sure to offer cashback only 1 day after the refund period is over, otherway you'll have to bother with issues like Brent mentioned.
