Clickbank - Video PLR minisites - affiliates - and stuff

Hello folks,

Until now I have only had experience with adsense, amazon and cj, with wordpress blogs, and have been doing well with them. However, it is nice to branch out and keep expanding ones skills and understanding, and wanted to get some advice here about clickbank.

I haven't used clickbank before, but as a vendor, how likely I am to make sales from clickbank affiliates promoting a product based on the following: Buying a high quality video PLR course minisite, with thankyou page, sales page, affiliate page with good banners. I have got this far and hosted the site, and the video course product is currently pending review at clickbank. I did, of course, check this product is not already on clickbank given that it is PLR - it is a very new release.

So, I guess the main question is:

Do affiliates generally try and promote these plr video course products? Am I likely to make many sales just from affiliates?

Would like to hear from those who have experience in this before I spend on the $50 fee that clickbank charges. Please only answer if you have first hand experience with this. No pointless comments/opinions from those who don't have experience in this.

Cheers
Darren

    Hi Darren

The straight answer is 'no' affiliates do not try to promote PLR video course products. But that does not mean you can't be successful selling them provided your course is genuinely valuable to your target market.

If the above is true, the main thing you need to do is focus on getting your sales page (sales letter, sales video) right. You need it to be converting. Provided you have something that is converting at better than 5%, then you have a fair chance of recruiting affiliates.

But don't expect them to come to you in droves - at least, not at first. This is a bit like putting the cart before the horse. You first need a converting offer, then you need to actively recruit quality affiliates and, after that, you may see the effect you desire i.e. affiliates will find your product and promote it without effort on your part.

One more thing. I know how you feel about parting with that $50. I think, most newbies go through that at the beginning. My advice is to just pay it and get your account up and running. Don't wait. If this first product doesn't work out, you can use that same account to promote something else later.

    And good luck to you.

    Will

Thanks Will - that is exactly the kind of answer I was looking for

Ok, so step 1, getting the traffic
step 2, getting conversion rate at 5% or above, then approach affiliates.

Harder to get traffic from google these days, so I need to broaden out of the adsense, amazon affiliate model, even if it is still doing me relatively well. Looking forward to getting my feet wet promoting PLR mini sites, and a, starting to think about creating my own products too.

      Cheers

A good way for you to make sales through your new CB product is by creating your own affiliate membership program (offer it on the website).

Offer a highly rewarding program where affiliates get to have a good share of the pie so to speak. High paying commissions (about 50-70%) will definitely entice them, and look for places where you can invite super affiliates to join and promote your product. If you are able to strengthen your affiliate program you will surely just sit back and enjoy recurring sales from them.

      Thanks for pitching in

Sounds like I need to get the basics covered before I make the next step of putting my affiliate program together, but you put the seed in my mind now, will be interested see when it flowers
