Two WP installs and one site map....

Hi All,

I am at a bit of a loss here and I have been scrating my head....

I have 2 installs of wordpress on one domain and I would like to obviously create a sitemap for the domain....

Is there an easy way to do this other than manually?

I have never needed to have 2 installs of WP on one domain before so never came up with this situation

Thanks again

Danny

how did you do that? I only know how to instal 1 wp in 1 domain. I think you can just contact your hosting support to help you around this. At least they'll send you the way to solve it

that that happened to me before , it's a headach, the solution i think is to go to the database name and delete it compeltely, then create a new instalation

First I think we need a little clarification. Are the sitemaps you want to create for SEO purposes such as Google Webmaster Tools? Or are they for your site visitors to be able to get to sections on each site?

Yoast SEO plugin creates the XML sitemaps for Google Tools. You would have to manually combine them if you wanted them to be together. However in google webmaster tools you can tell them where the sitemaps are.

For creating a combined sitemap for both sites that users could use for navigation I've not seen one.

    • Hi Danny,

coffeecup.com have something called Sitemapper which might do the trick.

It's not WordPress-related so you might be able to install it in the root directory and get it to do the whole site.

I can't say for sure as I don't remember the details, you'd need to check out their website. Usually they offer free versions of their software, either time-restricted or with more limited functions, so you may even be able to try it out.
