"Not Provided" is NOT cool

What does it mean when you log into your Google analytics account and some of your search terms say " not provided"? Are these people who arrived at your site while signed into their Google account? Why does Google Analytics do this? Any insight will be helpful because it is so frustrating, as the bulk of my search terms say"not provided"

Thanks in advance!

    It could be many reasons.

I have a lot of Eastern European visitors that show up as IP only. Sometimes visitors won't have java enabled. Searchers might be coming from Google powered searches that are not on Google's domain.

It has nothing to do with that.

Maybe they have opted out of Google Tracking? You can do this... no idea what it shows up like.
