Tracking clicks in my Wordpress Site

INTERNET MARKETING

Hi All -

I have a wordpress site and in addition to the data I can gather from google analytics I would like to track more detailed activity such as clicks on links and pictures (also click-thrus) within my site.

Can anyone offer me some advice on what I should do from here. Is there a program I am supposed to be using? Somethign specific for wordpress?

Any advice would be great!

There are a few ways to do this. You can use Google Analytics it is already built in.

Go to "Content" and then to the bottom there is "In Page Analytics". This will give a clickmap.

I also use Crazyegg.com and VisualWebsiteOptimizer.com for what you are looking to do.

Wordpress has analytics software built into Jetpress. I use it to track clicks, traffic, popular pages etc.. it's great.

You can also use a plugin like Prettylink to track outgoing links. Create unique links for different spots on your blog and you'll know what area gets the most clicks.

Statcounter all the way, simple and straight to the point gives you information you need. It can even track google adsense clicks.

It's been said before but I'll say it again, best to use jetpack, my fav program and you can track clicks in and clicks out, and where they came from and such. really great.

Why don't you use something like Pretty links? If you create a Pretty link for each link you want to track then you will be able to see exactly how many clicks you get on each individual link.

hyper tracker is awesome (hyper tracker dot com), lets you track clicks from each source, so you know EXACTLY which traffic sources are resulting in sales.
