Hey warriors could somebody please give me a answer on anchor text links?
My question is does it hurt my rankings to put anchor text links pointing to the page it is on, or the page you are reading, or is that one of the ways you use them? I know you can put them on other sites to link back to your site.

    I don't think linking to the current page hurts any. I don't think that it helps any, either.

    I think it actually helps, for one gives you a change to get the keywords in again and it gives a link to the page with the keyword rich anchor. Look at many sites that have menu's, same concept.

    Sure can't see how it hurts, unless you end up with the keywords on the page to often (looking spammy). I have a menu that shows on every page of my site, hasn't hurt me.
