Best way to handle poor cs from a member?

I know it is frowned on to call out a fellow warrior here on the forum, but I made a purchase from a member here on the warrior forum, and he simply refuses to make the purchase good. No refund, no admission of error or responsibility, refuses to redo the product or correct any of the errors, and I am at a loss for words as to why.
I guess I can file a complaint thru Pay-Pal, but I want to warn others of this guy, but don't know the best way to go about it.
I am out $200, and they guy simply refuses to do anything!
Suggestions?

Thanks,

Mickey

Talk to the mods. They are the only ones who can do anything, if anything can be done.

It is truly amazing to me that a merchant, any merchant would refuse to make good on a product they sold. With all the websites to leave negative feedback, and the recourse you have thru visa and pay-pal, it is just hard to imagine.

I guess the marketplace has a way of sorting out all the crooks from the legit merchants. Too bad, because the bad ones stain all of us.

It isn't just "frowned on" - it's categorically and emphatically disallowed, I think?

    That sounds like the answer?

If you bought it through a WSO or WFH thread, you can (and should) leave an objective, factual review post in the thread through which you bought it. But otherwise I don't think that can be done here just because it was another Warrior, Mickey.

Contacting the mods generally works. The WF is the best forum in this regard regardless of genre, IMO, for such stuff.

    Hi

    1) Good luck with Paypal, they won't refund digital purchases, i know others have said they got a refund but i was told by the Rep no refund on digital.
    2) Contact the Mods, but they can't get your money back, they can only Ban the seller if your story is verified.
    3) Be a bit more savvy next time, just because he/she is a member of WF means nothing when it comes to money.

    Good luck...

I thought it was with pay-pal, because that is usually who I use, but it was with Visa, so at least I have some leverage there.
Yes, my bad on the trust factor. This guy has been around for a while, and the threads i saw about his video production were good. I just had no idea...
But I guess it is just like anything else, you never know how good (or how bad) a company is until you have a problem.

You can file a charge back DIRECTLY with Visa.

A few years ago, in PayPal's terms of service / AUP, they actually had a clause in there saying that you had to go through their dispute process first otherwise you'd risk account limitation.

For the past couple of years, Paypal's terms changed regarding that and users can now file charge backs directly with their credit card issuer without fear of consequence.

      1. You call your credit card issuer or go to your local bank if they're the issuer and file a charge back for non-delivery or whatever (documentation required).

      2. The charge back hits PayPal.

      3. Paypal attempts to dispute the charge back on behalf of the seller.

      4. Most likely, Paypal looses the charge back.

      5. The credit card company takes the funds from PayPal and credits the OP.

      6. PayPal debits the amount from the seller's account.

Ahh, if it was Visa just do a charge back, you should be fine.
PS. How long have you been waiting?

Actually, I have only been waiting a week. Not too long in the great scheme of things.

We need a sub-forum for this; it happens far too often and there is nothing anyone can do to warn fellow Warriors. It's a shame.

You are right. But I will be more careful next time.
