I've used both PPC and Press Releases for big-ticket products I was promoting several years back. The Press Release gave me a better ROI. But I still wouldn't discount PPC though

Depending on your niche & offers, I start with Bing Ads, Yahoo or FB Ads...

If testings prove positive, I scale out with Adwords and media buys.

For some markets, off/online trade journals, solo ads work wonder.

I'm in 3 markets, so that's all I do. Others may have better suggestions.

For Paid, I would go down the Bing / yahoo and google road.

If you are just starting out, start with 7search, a little testing can get you good results.

Also solo ads from safe swap are awesome. Good people to work with that.

But by far my best is banner ads on forums, and blogs. Get this one right and you have massive targeted traffic and you can get awesome results.

Also doing banner ads, the ugliest banners with red headline text with lots of benefits work the best.

Pay per click for me. 7search has never worked for me. Use Adwords or Bing Ads.
