Articles? Are they still an effective marketing technique used?

Hello Fellow Warriors,

I quit Internet Marketing 2 years ago to start University study so I'm rather out of touch on what's still being used and what's not.

Do people still want articles?

Are they/you looking more for keyword density or quality content?

(I know it's probably optimum to have both, but from past experiences I've always found that keyword density takes away some of the quality with repitition).

I was possibly thinking of doing a WSO. $5 per article for around 350 to 400 words.

Would this be profitable at all?

I see WSO are now charged at $20 - it would be a pointless endeavour if I were to make just a few sales, I would have written for free.

Any advice... would be greatly appreciated.

    Articles are the BEST way to win your buyer's confidence. Never underestimate if.
    If a person is looking for something, he is bound to do research. If they find your article useful they will definetely want to give something back. People think that people dont like other people promoting. Thats completely wrong.. If you spam them, they will hate you but if you provide them a service (such as knowledge) they will gladly buy from you.

    I love articles and write them on a regular basis both for myself and for clients. I also use twitter and post my new articles on there because of the amount of times my articles have been recommended on twitter has led to lots of sales and a higher twitter following and if i hadnt done this i wouldnt have the traffic that i have today!

    No worries, people always in search of articles which mean people NEED Articles !
    the reason is that Content is Kind and internet is all about information highway.
    If you have the articles that provide information which is what people want, you just provide them with what they wants !
