Auto Blogging in the Post Panda/Penguin Era:Does it WorK?

Greetings fellow Warrior's ! I'm a newbie to the forum and this is my very first post. I have a question about auto blogging. Does it work in the post panda/penguin era ? I'd like to specifically ask about a product called "Auto Blog Samurai " . It seems fairly impressive, has a number of positive reviews, but... One of it's main feature's seems to be grabbing/scraping content,spinning it and then posting it . Isn't this now exactly the sort of thing that will get you a major google slap ? I'd appreciate as many people as possible chiming in on this matter. Thanks!
