What are your top 3 strategies to market your business?

I would like to get more marketing insights on how to better promote online. Many or most marketers I know do not use one strategy to promote their business, but there are usually at least 3 strategies they use. What are yours?

      Basically just spend money.
But hey you gotta lose it to make it.

I call it my triple A Business Model, here it is (in a nutshell...)

    A1 - Build my Audience

This is my email list (mainly), here the two major facts are lead magnets and traffic sources. So far my top traffic sources are:

    1. My Email List
    2. Integration
    3. Solo Ads and Ad Swaps
    4. PPC (Mainly Facebook)
    5. Social Media

A2. Develop Affinity with my Audience

I do this by doing live web broadcasts and webinars. I like doing live web broadcasts because it really builds that relationship fast and I can deliver targeted INDIVIDUAL results to the people on my list quickly.

    A3. Passive Cash Flowing Assets

Next, I simple re-purpose the content from the live shows and I turn them into sales funnels to promote affiliate products. Works fantastically, then all I do is take that money I make from my commissions and buy offline assets.

Stuff that puts money into my pocket passive. I find offline assets are far more valuable then online.

Overall, it's a simple system, I work 8 hours a month (mostly doing live shows, which are fun) and I don't have to worry about support teams, dealing with affiliates or FTC crap.

My integration brings in the vast majority of my new leads on autopilot and my re-purposed content delivers follows ups as well as my live shows delivers personal results and my assets ensure that I make more money over time without me working harder for them.

    Just keeping it really simple...

I love your response Mark - it's a great way to show how to build a business and a lifestyle, instead of just working for cash on a monthly basis.

2 - Building a website around that niche
3 - Paying Fiverr people to build Link Wheels, drive traffic, and submit articles

Yep, variety is key. I use solo ads, CPC Broker, blogging, social media, and email marketing to get the word out. If you had a brick and mortar business, you would definitely have to spend money to get your product in there and open your business--same goes for online. I tried for a long time to make it go with free advertising--it works if you have the time, which I don't! So I put my faith in my goals and am now spending $ on advertising. Fiverr.com is a great tool--I just used it for the 1st time today to bring more fans to my FB fan page and another to bring many more views to my blog, which has advertising built around it. $10 spent--let's hope the result is good!

    1. SEO - Can't complain about free traffic when it's up for the taking.

    2. PPC - It's okay to pay for traffic though I only do this for my own products, not sites based on affiliate commissions.

    3. Social - Twitter, Facebook, and Pinterest each have a large captive audience. Different niches will be more applicable to some than others. In general you should at least be active on a Facebook page and sharing interesting posts. If your content is exciting, funny, controversial or otherwise viral you can really expand your reach quickly. Giveaway promotions are also very effective with social media.

Honestly we don't need any specific strategies to market an online business. If there exists a strategy ,its name is "Organic". Everything should be natural ,we don't even need a single backlink (backlinks will find you naturally), or we don't need to buy a single click or impression

The secret is starting something unique ,or innovate something new out of existing ,or just create a clone of something already there ,but the difference is keep working on it on a regular basis (Most of the people will fail at this particular point aka losing interest)

for example if you want to be blogger ,discover your area of interest under the globe (not niches with top cpa offers) ,blog it,add unique contents (no stuff like spinning or whatever) ,at least add one unique article per day ,then keep on going for 6 months ,i say it again 6 months

And its not a surprise that the blog can make your living ,not just living ,happy living ,so here goes my top 3 strategies

    1) Never ever think of money

    2) Be Organic /Natural

    3) Don't forget Rule No: 1

    ;-)

I like to combine slower long term free strategies with quicker free and paid strategies and stay consistent with them all:

Free and Slow: Blogging and articles.

Free and Quick: Syndicating content via social media, free classified ads, and ranking YouTube videos.

      Paid and Quick: Solo Ads.

There is SO MUCH traffic on those 3 sites alone. And I still suck at facebook. Once I master facebook like I've mastered CL & YT, I don't think I'll need any other sites tbo.

Social networking sites are the best platform to spread our services because these services help us to get direct traffic. There are multiple social networks but for the best work you we should use Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Myspace, kasbee, Stumbleupon, and Bebo. These platforms are amazing and responsive.

I think if I have a big business online I need to build my SEO dream team. It will consist of:

    Blog Writer
    Guest Blogger
    Link Builder
    Technical OnPage SEO
    In-House Tool Developer
    Sales/Account Manager/Project Manager

In that way, they could focus on what they do and to be organized in marketing our business.

    Regards,

    Ronnie

Lots of good advice here. My 3 have been said over and over. I would just add that quality is the key to success in affiliate marketing in the new environment being formed by Google. Vets can get away with a lot more because they have built lists. Without this you will definitely need to establish yourself in your niche through a quality blog that really reaches your market.
