Hey Guys,
I hear so much about blogging sales and free leads
but it all seems so confusing even with business like
the Empower network.

One minute I hear that its about keyword density and meta tags then
backlinks...then I hear that meta tags and keywords don't work now....
whats the real truth?

How can I make my blogging to get traffic
are there any wordpress plugins that make it simpler.

Please I need help and please not just another product.

Thanks,
Anthony

Honestly, blogging is supposed to be passionate, fun, and a great way to build a community that follows your words of wisdom. There really is no correct way to continuously earn money from blogging, but I will tell you this.

Blog about something that interests you and not just because it is a main money making niche. If you write good content and stick with it, you will build a follower user base that will come back daily. At the same time, you will overtime generate your keyword to become high on google along with hundreds of others.

There are more ways to get traffic besides just writing everyday, you can get backlinks from other sources. Write an article weekly and submit it to article directories. Visit Yahoo answers and help some people out while leaving your link back to your blog for more information on the topic. Join some forums and post daily and have a catchy signature. Make a few Youtube videos weekly or monthly and publish them. Keep your community active that are following your blog, have giveaways, contests, freebies, etc..

Over time you will build a large community on a certain niche that you will dominate. But the main thing is you have to stick with it. Too many people give up after a month. Keep the content nice and fresh daily, and blow that niche apart.

Eventually when you get a good amount of traffic, lets say 5000 visitors daily, then start monetizing. Don't look spammy, but place ads, sell affiliate products, and advertising space etc.. Eventually you will learn how to monetize it the right way depending on your niche. Passive income is what you are looking for so you can do what you love everyday and be profitable with it.

Blogging is still much alive. People just need to use imagination.

This was such a good, helpful and welcome post above, from Theduke, that I'm going to feel really guilty about trying to add a few words to it. But, that said, with apologies all round, please let me add a little to just one sentence in it, which might clarify/help ...

As an article marketer, myself, I'd add the words "... after first publishing it on your own blog and waiting until it's been indexed there (i.e never give an article directory site any content to which you could first have secured the initial indexation-rights for your own site )."

These two threads explain why ...

Oh, don't worry! I am no pro at this either. It is always good to add more information onto already great advice, that is why a forum will always have huge amounts of useful info.

There is no perfect scientific formula you need to follow that ticks off the boxes in terms of density/meta tags etc for doing blogging correctly.

Just stay consistent and keep on adding fresh unique content to your blog that gives value to the reader and you should pick up some traction if you keep at it.

Aim to answer questions in your blog posts. It does not have to be a work of art but answer a question that the visitor is searching for and you are on the right track.

Also a good idea to go get your better blog posts out there in front of people by syndicating it via social media and looking for guest post opportunities etc rather than just hope they magically start to get traffic.

I know it is hard to believe because I was in that position doubting that a blog would work. But believe me it works as long as you are writing content that will attract a huge audience. Don't write what other people tell you to write. Write what you want to write.
When people read how passionate you are about articles you write, you will see the fruits of your labors. Don't give up you will see results.

    A blog is a website.

Content management systems like Wordpress (among many others) can be used to build all sorts of websites, whether they look like blogs or not. It's quite possible, these days, to have regularly updated sites made without blogging software at all, and to have all sorts of "static sites" made with it.

    Here is my blogging model.
    1. Keyword Research - Find Long Tail Keyword that is searched often. 3 to 5 words
    2. Use in my title, header and meta tags. Also 2 to 4 times in the blog depending on how many words the blog is.
    3. Use pictures and name the picture file and picture tags my keywords.
    4. Of course use Tags that are keyword related, no more than 10, no stuffing.
    5. Send blog to Pingler, Pingomatic and Onlywire in the order
    6. Send to Twitter (since EN is banned from Facebook and Google+)
    7. Put into recurring Twitter posts using Social Oomph.
    8. Use on Facebook and Twitter under a Masked URL
    9. Go to Happy Hour.
    10. Rinse and Repeat Daily.

Find something that you like to blog about, but make sure there is a hungry market for it. Then drive traffic through SEO. Regardless of what they want you to believe. The more quality backlinks you have, the higher you'll rank.

Content must be unique and good. On-page SEO is also a must. Blogging is a long term strategy and must stay committed with it.

Write about things that you really care about.

    Connect with other bloggers.

Create your own YouTube channel, Facebook page, etc.

Create infographics on your blog and save it as an image.

Put out good quality stuff, and have some passion, and people will come.

You shouldn't think of blogging as a way to get money. Think of blogging as something you want to do - share your thoughts or offer valuable content to your readers.
