What are email lists?

I keep hearing people talking about generating traffic from these email lists they've been building up.

What are these lists you guys are referring to and how do I make one?

    dude LIST BUILDING is the concept we call it.......

    suppose you are selling back links and from today to next 15 days you got 1000 orders from your website.......

    if must save these email ids to your auto responders or to your email account....

    so that if you offer any other thing related to back-links next time you can send emails to those 1000 people which are interested in back linking services...

    so this is how you will get highly targeted traffic and they can buy your offer with high rate....

    so you will earn more...

    so storing these emails for future is nothing but the LIST BUILDING....

    hope you got basic concept about it , but there are various strategies available on this forum so you can look at them and implement them..

    To make one you have to offer some information that people will see as valuble enough to give you their email address.

    Get the acceptance of people -> save their email address -> start email marketing -> they subscribe -> you end up with an opt-in list -> start sending campaigns in regular basis

      Look! Set up a squeeze page and send traffic to it and have an Opt-in form on the squeeze page from Aweber. When you get a list of subscribers then write a blog post and send the subscribers to that post.

      Better still you can write a Free Front-end product and give it away to your niche. But don't insert a lot of links in the report. People don't like to be sold but they like to buy. Pay attention to how its being done. Honestly, you should learn this in one day. Here is example of one of my squeeze pages below:

    To build your list you need to get something to give away which relates to your niche and has high perceived value then get your self an email autoresponder I recommend Aweber.

    Then build a blog out a blog in that niche and the at the top right side of your blog put your optin box and have a picture of the product that you are giving away and make sure you have a catchy headline that says ''OPTIN FOR MY AWSOME PRODUCT'' something like that you get the point and then drive traffic that is targeted to your niche.

    Then you will start to build a following and market to that following with useful information and affiliate products.
