Need a little help with my marketing direction please

Hi

Im sure this has been asked many of times but id like to have a list put together on this thread that i can refer too and work at

I have a website. I currently use PPC, twitter, facebook for marketing.
I am looking for ways to promote my website to generate leads.

Whats are the most productive marketing methods for a newbie?
I have added the website on UK site gumtree.
Obviously methods that can be done for free will be great or an minimal costs.

I dont have experience in article marketing.
If their are sites i can put my website on, ive heard of craigslist is this good in the UK?
PPC is generating clicks to the website but i cant be sure the clicks are turning into conversions.
Am i missing a certain niche where i can submit my website too?

    Hi Ian,

    You can try the following:

    Yahoogroups - there are email groups on all sorts of niches/topics. Pick your niche and contribute content to the groups and include source links to your site from time to time

    Yahoo Answers - use YA and its many clones to help build your brand

    guest posts - use myblogguest.com to supply other blogs with posts that promote your link

    Free press releases - there are tons of free PR sites you can submit to. Make sure your announcement is newsworthy though.

    It can be tough converting traffic into leads that will truly convert. But you have to be patient, as you mentioned you are just starting. It may seem hard at first, and will require all the hard work and tedious link building before you can achieve your goals, but do not give up. In due time, you will surely enjoy the fruits of your hard work. Or, if you want to speed up the process you can hire a VA to do the whole nine yards for you.

    You could start using PPV traffic. Join some large networks such as trafficvance or leadimpact and basically target URLs of your competitors.
