How often should I email my list?

Hey Warriors!

I found this interesting article: How Often Should I Email My List? | Derek Fredrickson... And I was wondering what do you think about it?

I mean, I understand that most of the answers will be: "it depends", but what I really want to know is basically:

1. What niche is your list in?
2. How often do you email them?
3. What you use your list for? For communication only purposes or you promote paid offers, etc...

If you want to know, my list is in the MMO niche. I sell solo ads, so I email my list very often (even twice a day sometimes) ...

Why do I want to know this? Well, I'm just curious

    Answer: Content Writing

    Question: How often do you email them?
    Answer: In Content Writing 360°'s case, we email our list once a week or twice a month, depending on the variety of promos we have for the current month.

    Question: What you use your list for?
    Answer: We email our list to let them know our existing promos and discounts. For example, just a few days ago, we emailed all our clients that we have these promos for the month of October:
    PROMO 1: 3 x 500-word articles and keyword research for FREE if your one-time order is more than $100.00.
    PROMO 2: $0.01 per word on article, web content, product description, and product review writing until the banner stays on our website.

    I'm not sure if frequently sending of email works for others but, perhaps, it depends on the niche.

    I have various niches but if we look at the IM niche I mail my list around 3 times a week....but with decent quality content for them. Not rehashed by this much stuff. Some people hammer their lists every day but I dont operate that way...it really depends what relationship you have with the people on your list to start with.

    it really depends what relationship you have with the people on your list to start with
    Those are the keynotes! This is the reason why our clients are ordering multiple sets of autoresponder email series.

    The relationship with your list is the key factor, as long as you are mailing to build that relationship it should not really matter about mailing to much. As long as you keep the quality up your subscribers will look forward to receiving your mails and maybe even buy a bit of stuff from subtle sales techniques.
