It is very important because value these domain higher than any other SEO factors. So if you have found a keyword in your domain, remember to grab it as soon as possible

It might not be true as search engines may not regard them entirely. It will depend on your niche as whether or not it will be related to those keywords. There are many factors that make a good domain. If it is 3 characters domain name, I will grab it.

    Thanks,

I've managed to grab some really good keyword domains.

I might use them to try and rank on then point them to my website.

    Thanks

I've found that as long as I have my keywords in the URL, it doen't seem to matter - e.g speculatingabout.com/keywords seems to do just as well (or otherwise) as speculatingaboutkeywords.com does. This suits me just fine, because it means that I can use aging 'all-purpose' type domains to promote faddish trends without being lumbered with a single-use lemon once the hype subsides. It also means that you can get away with putting a brand name in the url, which would be out of the question if the word were in the actual domain. For evergreen niches with a big market though, keyword-rich domains can't hurt.

Your mileage may vary - the only thing I've ever been able to predict about Google is that it's likely to be unpredictable, which is probably why I have a neglected .info out-performing a much more well-tended .com I own in the same niche. SEO is a fascinating science, but I sometimes feel we've less ground to cover in the 'explaining the aftelife' field before we can say we've got it all figured out

I think it's pretty important - personally, I also think keyword rich domains are the best for user-friendliness so they know exactly what they're dealing with.

i know people say try to find domains without hyphens(-) in it, but i think sometimes they are more readable when they do have hyphens

i agree with this ... i think hyphens had a bad rap in the past, but, as domains get longer (which they have to really as we run out of short good ones) hypens definitely make it easier ... even google alludes to this somewhere in their site

Definitely get your main keyphrase in the domain if you have to use hyphens do that, also choose a .com if possible

They can definitely help your SEO, but on the other hand, you'll find sites out-ranking keyword-rich domains all the time. If you have the option, then definitely grab it. If you don't, then you're not missing out on anything.

I wouldn't spend a lot of money or time trying to acquire them, when you can get the same results without them, but if used properly, they can really help.

I've found, especially with local markets (less competition), that a keyword rich domain will quickly rise to the first page, even without much SEO effort. Definitely worth the time to find a decent one.

It depends how much off page marketing you are doing. It won't always help you, especially in ultra competitive markets. But it certainly can't hurt.

I don't like hyphens in domains. Makes it much harder for type in traffic. But a good keyword domain ... I'll take that anytime I find them.

When available I take keyword rich domains with and *without* hyphens, so I am more flexibel when promoting via PPC. And also it prevents me for having a competitor who are get the "other" domain.

I always try to either have a cool and SHORT keyphrase as domain name OR some stylish made-up word and try to create somekind of value for that "brand"

Now THAT's some good advice. Doesn't help much to shoot a bullseye without knowing what you're aiming at does it?
