ok this is probably a dumb question but Im new to IM.

Lets say I register domains at NO-NO-NO-NO-NO-NO-NO-, and host them on HostGator(Baby Plan $7.96/mo). Is the only cost from running multiple websites domain registration (5-10$/year per website) and + $7.96/mo for webhosting? Or do I have to pay another $7.96/mo for each additional website? so hosting 2 websites would cost me 14$ each month?

    Hey There,

From what I know about the Host Gator baby plan, you can host up to 100 domains. This means you would pay the annual registration fee for the domains and a monthly payment of $7.96 for the baby plan.

    Hope this helps

I chose entrepreneurship over further education despite being laughed at by my friends and family..

I recently hit the "RESTART" button on my life, read my personal blog to find out how I did it :)

Yes - and that's $6.36 per month if you pay in advance rather than monthly. You can add loads of domains. (If they're all Wordpress blogs, it can be a little bit of a resource-hog, I think ... you wouldn't really manage 100 of those, but "plenty", anyway - it depends how big they are).

      But it's very cheap, anyway.

If you purchase a hosting then it will cost up to $5 to $7 per month and if you want VPS then it will start from $15/month.

Yes, I have more than 50 websites on hostgator and about 100 domain names on NO-NO-NO-NO-NO-NO-NO-. The cost is the small monthly hostgator fee for unlimited websites and the yearly domain fee for each domain. Pretty cheap!

If I'm not mistaken you can host multiple domains for no additional cost but each domain name will cost you approximately 12.99 each

It does not have to be particularly expensive to run multiple websites.

By going the several sites on baby gator route you will be using add on domains. While many do this there are some dangers involved. One danger is the same username and password for every site you have. One gets hacked they all get hacked.

100 wp sites would be way too chunky for a baby also. Their reseller plans would make better sense to me but that could just be me and their first option reseller will not hold 100 wp sites either.

It doesn't cost you anything if you make that money back with your website

I started out with hostgator baby plan for a couple years but then got a reseller account so I could start getting sites with different IP addresses so that all my eggs were not in one basket. I also wanted to start selling hosting ($50 for one year) which then helps pay for my hosting cost
