Please helpme with my blog am very new to wordpress

can anyone guide me on how to upload logo to my this blog and remove the link as its showing in the blog .I asked for help in Digitalpoint forum but didnt get any reply for 2 days .i hope someone can come up with a solution .

I dont want to see the line as its showing there and upload a nice logo i went to Header.php but i really dont know where to upload the logo and which portion i should edit .Please help

    It's hard to know without seeing the template. And even then you may need to do some adjustments or change the code.

    That title is linked. It's not a simple banner image that can be swiped out somewhere.

    You may want to consider finding another template that gives you the option to put in the logo.

    More importantly I'm going to tell you something. Don't get too hung up on how it looks right now. If I were in your shoes, I would focus on getting the content up - that is more important. You can always go back later and have someone design something for you like a custom template with your customizations on it.

    The other thought is to go to the person who designed/ made the template and comment on their blog or send them an email asking if there is an easy way to do it.

    HI Mk,

    My suggestion is to upload the image to /wp-content/your_theme/images and then link to it from the edited php file.

    Looks like you'll need to edit around here:
    <div id="top" class="wrap">
    <div class="col-left">
    <h1><a href="http://www.seoin.co.cc">Search engine Optimisation Tips</a></h1>


    Create another <div> class and experiment to get the right location. It sort of depends on your image size and where you want to place it.

    Upload your logo to wp-content/themes/Corpvox/img/

    In the header.php file look for this line:
    <h1><a href="<?php echo get_settings('home'); ?>/">
    <?php bloginfo('name'); ?> </a></h1>

    It will probably be something simalar to that.

    Change it to:
    <h1><a href="<?php echo get_settings('home'); ?>/">
    <img src="http://www.seoin.co.cc/wp-content/themes/Corpvox/img/logo.gif" border="0"></a</h1>

    This assumes your logo is named logo.gif. If not just put the name of your logo instead of logo.gif.

      According to my opinion I like your blog without changing mk. it's simple and elegant. But if you still want to change it, i totally agree with ken's advice

    Edit the the template files from an FTP editor if possible. Cyberduck is free for Macs or CuteFTP for windows. Then you can edit the file with a text editor such as notepad or TExtWrangler

    Just Updated My blog with the changes that were Suggested here . i will have to change the color of logo to Black .Site looks good now

    One more question .. Should i be changing the position of my <H1> tags now to have some kind of seo affect on it ?

      Your blog is looking good! Keep pressing forward!

      Install the plugin All-in-One-SEO. It is the best plugin for making sure that each page and post has the proper SEOing....(is that a word?)

      If you have installed Wordpress 7.1, then you can install the plugin from your dashboard.

      Don't worry about the position of your <H1> tags - but do use them once on each page.

      Do start entering content.

      Where to start?

      If you have tons of PLR content clogging your hard drive like mine, you can find a few articles, rewrite them and change them to fit your voice and what you know, and start posting.

      In fact, your first post can be how to install All-in-one-SEO plugin! Tell the reader how it went. And add updates to your post every few weeks. Real good content...

    Thanks miked i'll follow your suggestion .I am currently on 2.7.0 Should i upgrade it to 2.7.1 so that i can use all in one seo plugin .Yes i do have plenty of PLR .

      Yes, upgrade to 2.7.1. You always want to stay current with Wordpress upgrades.

      Take your plr and use it as a place to start. Rewrite it and give it your voice, your experience. But have a plan. 3 pages a week? Be realistic. But have a plan and follow your plan. Before you know it, you will have a website of 20 or 30 pages, and be getting nice targeted traffic.
