My Affiliate Marketing Sales Structure...

I have spent the past 3 days, from waking up to going to bed, learning how to become a successful affiliate marketer (I knew nothing about it). I would love to know if im making good progress understanding how it works.

So here's my take on a simple structure:

A few questions if I may:
  • First of all, is this a feasible structure?
  • Should a OTO be an affiliate product?
  • Should I send SOME traffic directly to my sales page (skip squeeze)?

I'm still new, please be nice

Congrats on spending the time learning! Honestly there isn't a "formula" for how affiliate marketing works, the term in general can apply to a variety of different methods. Nevertheless you seem to be on the right track, however usually the OTO comes AFTER the sale has been completed, you don't want to "distract" your buyer funnel too much, get them to buy, then give them an OTO.

But keep in mind a lot of affiliate marketing (as with marketing in general) is about creativity. The hard part is getting that targeted traffic to your squeeze page, once you can do that, you can split test and optimize the rest of the funnel.

Excellent, I realize that I could implement upsell/downsell but I really want to keep it as simple as possible without losing too much effectiveness.

    That looks fine.

If you find a few marketers who are predominantly into affiliate marketing then jump on their lists and see what they're doing.

As you find what works for you, you'll be able to adapt and try new things.

I'd say... start small and scale. If it doesn't work then keep going (it's about traffic and conversions or conversions and traffic).

And don't change direction or focus. Stay in the same market. Play with the same system and focus on learning core skills in marketing. Not B.S.O.

1 Your structure is feasible for success.

2 OTO can be affiliate product but it should related to your offer in squeeze.
It helps you cover advertising cost.

For me OTO should be your product because if you promote others
when people used to see it before, they will ignore your offer
and you can not give them a specile price.

3 It depend on your objective,
you want to collect emails or you want to make a profit.
I recommend you collect email first and follow up to sale letter.

What I don't understand is how can you have your affiliate product as an OTO because you have no control over the sales page of the product, you can't really offer it once so to speak?

If you want to use other people in your OTO , you can contact them and ask them set special price for you and you maybe reduce your commission.

But if you don't change anything aff sale page I call cross sale not OTO sorry for make you miss understand.
