Selling eBooks On Fiverr...can you make money?

I think there is a warrior by the handle "footman bag" that does this with proclaimed success. Hope I have his name right...

Lots of ebooks get sold on Ebay, but you must put them on a disk and post it to the client. I suppose with fiverr you don't need to do that. To be successful you need to write books on making money on fiverr itself, that would be most popular.

Of course you can but I don't know if you will make a lot of sales. If I was you I would just go ahead and try to sell it on Fiverr while also trying to sell it elsewhere - you have nothing to lose really.

Fiverr's market has definitely gone down this past year, and it doesn't seem to be making a stable recovery. I tried out the whole Fiverr niche a couple months back and had no success. Even if you do get a couple sales, you're making a profit of $15-20 for at the time you wait for sales you could have made $100 in another marketing area.

Some people have huge success, but it's not very easy and takes a spark. Most of the people that actually earn big are the huge sellers with big names everybody knows. I personally wouldn't go their if you're interested in big bucks.

I wouldn't sell yourself short.

Once you've create your ebook you've got a very important first step done which can open up doors of opportunity elsewhere.

If you ramp up your price and sell on a decent affiliate marketplace you may not have to work too hard for your money.

I made a couple dollars on fiverr ( around 1200$) and I've sold 1 or 2 ebooks too (of my own) and I can say yeah, you can make money but not as much as with the service gigs.

My best advice would be to offer it related to a service that you are offering but you can also go the other route and see what are the best selling gigs on fiverr and offer ebooks that target those niches.

The buyers on fiverr want people to fix problems not yet another ebook. I've made one sale of my ebook vs hundreds for my aweber installation gig.

If you have written an ebook then sell it here via the WSO section, and then use the testamonials to sell it for a higher price on it's own domain. Add in an affiliate programme and then you're a proper information marketer.

Why don't you list your ebooks on a fiverr clone and ask more than $5 for it? List them for $10 or $15

I can't speak for the OP, but my own reason for not doing that would be that "Fiverr clones" typically have very little traffic, are mostly pretty unknown, and that the chances of selling it that way are therefore even worse than they are at Fiverr. Seeing that you're promoting a list of them in your signature-file, though, I can fully appreciate that that may be your perspective.

For myself, I'd instinctively prefer to try to sell it on Kindle, or ClickBank (maybe with a higher price, and paying commissions to affiliates who produce the traffic?), or somewhere else designed to sell e-books. Using either involves a far greater learning-curve than using Fiverr does, admittedly, but I think there's no great surprise there, because the income from such products tends to have at least as much to do with mastering the marketing process and skills as it does with mastering the product-creation process and skills.

IM's like that, especially when you're starting off. However, although "the money isn't guaranteed", even if you finish the e-book and find that it doesn't sell at all on Fiverr, you'll still have gained a marketable asset out of it, and can always try other places and methods, too.

YES you can make some money. I have a gig where I sell a book BUT you will not make many sales. I did in 1 month only 8 sales. Maybe your book is better and you will make more money. You can try. You have nothing to lose.

Getting people from Fiverr to buy something would be quite hard especially if it is an eBook. I guess it will depend on the topic you are on.

Most Fiverr buyers are really looking for one-off gigs. That's what the site is marketed for, and that's what people on there want.

You can sell ebooks on there, people have certainly done it before, but it's much, much harder.

If you want to do it, I'd recommend three things:

1. Do not actually say "I will sell you an ebook on (subject)" in the title. Say "I will show you how to (x)," then explain how it works to them after they contact to you.

2. If you have software for customizing books for each customer, use it. I've seen some people offering customized reports where the user enters some basic information about themselves, then gets a customized report that's really just an ebook with some words changed to reflect the data they entered. I'm sure there's some kind of software for doing this; this is the model that all the ancestry sites work off of.

3. Market the gig heavily. Use the video option and upload a mini video sales letter. At the end of the day, even if you're using tips 2 and 3, selling non-gig items on Fiverr is tough. Fiverr doesn't allow enough text space to write a mini-sales letter, but you can upload a few minute long video sales letter, which should do wonders for your results.

I've seen people promoting ebooks on Fiverr but have not done this myself. You should probably go to Fiverr and check out different ebook gigs to gauge what the most popular sellers are. Sounds like you're creating a book that you have no idea if anybody wants.

A lot of people are making good money by publishing books for Kindle. I suggest you do some research first into what type of content actually makes money. There are lots of good niches you could research and write books about.

My suggestion is to stop writing and do more research before attempting to sell on Fiverr or anywhere else.

If you're selling it for $5, how are you going to be in profit lol? I don't think it's worth it... Not at all, but you can always put more items up that makes it a big difference.

You should think about where people go to buy books online these days and concentrate your efforts there rather than on Fiverr in my opinion. With the advert of ereaders there's much less of a stigma associated with ebooks these days.

This mentality is the single greatest source of failure.

There are no guarantees. You work hard for the sake of working hard, and learn what works along the way.

I was quite disappointed with Fiverr, but this might not be quite an objective point of view. I do think you may find some other way of selling your e-books. I know I have read some posts here about it (a few months ago). Why not try building your own site?

You would probably do much better taking that ebook of yours and try selling it on the Amazon/Kindle platform.

I tried selling an ebook on Fiverr but I had trouble with the delivery service so I never got it off the ground the way I wanted it to. Bought a few from different sellers on Fiverr and tried to mimic their procedure but just couldn't get it right with the delivery, that's why I recommend the Kindle Platform (worth taking a look at it).

Yes, Fiverr is a decent place to sell your ebook........but depending on what the subject matter the ebook is on....you may not make many sales.

Answering those questions and ones like them may lead you to a few ebook sales on Fiverr.

When trying to work for yourself starting out you will have to Do The Work BEFORE you get paid. That's the reality. But I think that selling your eBook on Fiverr is a great idea.

yes you can, for me i did earn money. but here is my technique, i offered fiverr another one of my ebooks or a package of my ebooks with a special price. since they liked the 1st ebook i sold them.

I have sold a lot of PLR on Fiverr, I don't put much effort into it. Just set and forget for most part, and deliver when sale comes in. I am not doing a lot of sales, but it is steady. I think I probably could monotenize better, but I mostly just use it to fund services I want to buy. Like Tweets, Facebook Likes, Google +, etc.

I would do what several people have already suggested - upload and sell your book as a kindle product on Amazon. This is a much larger marketplace with an integrated marketing system where you don't have to do anything.

I know a few fiverr sellers that make decent money with ebook sales. But i also know others that give you 5 ebooks for one gig and still get no sales. It's all about how well you market and promote what you offer.

You would need a ton of sales to make a "worth enough" income. Are you sure you want to try and sell (hypothetically) 30 sales a month at $5 a piece? That's only $150 a month. You could sell a $25 product and make 7 sales and reach the same quota. Something tells me that you don't like selling ebooks on your own website.

Yes you can make money selling ebooks on Fiverr but there are lot of doing just that.Ebay would be much more profitable option.

Set up a site to sell the ebook and recruit affiliates to sell it for you on clickbank.

What is it about? You have to make a catchy title; one that would make other people want to buy your ebook, especially since it's just one ebook. I've seen people on Fiverr sell a big amount of ebooks. The thought of getting lots of ebooks for $5 attracts buyers.

I personally experienced selling just a couple of ebooks on fiverr. I don't think one can earn much by selling ebooks on fiverr compared to selling your own services there. ;-)

I prefer kindle publishing or selling on ebay.
Selling on fiverr is not easy and you can't sell for more than $5.
