I am undertaking a project where I plan to earn $1,000 on a site flip in 31 days. Has anyone accomplished this? Do you think that it can be done? Let me know what you think about this? I am documenting my journey on my blog Smarter Wealth: The Smarter Way To Wealth and I am also teaching people how to do their own thousand dollar site flip. I would love any advice that anyone has for me |

I haven't tried flipping a site for $1000 in 31 days but I'm pretty sure I could do it. Definitely it CAN be done if you find the right buyer. I think though to sell a virtually brand new site for $1000 though you're going to have to earn at least $300-$500 and probably get some subscribers as well.

It can definitely be done. In fact I plan on doing it to pay for a trip to Cedar Point. EDIT: Read that wrong, you said you were gonna flip one established site for $1000 instead of maybe ten $100 startups. The latter is what I'm doing. |

Hi Ryan, Well, site flipping is super easy if you know how to do it right. $1,000 in 31 days is like a snap of finger once you know how and where the money will be at. Personally, in my first month of site flipping, I think I made around the $800 figures. Not really the $1,000 figure but it's still consider a lot for me back then. It can definitely be done Ryan. It's easy to do once you know how to do it. |

I know it can be done with a few sites totalling $1,000 or more, but I have yet to sell one site for $1,000. Nice challenge though. Best of luck.

It's a huge challenge to sell a site for anything more than $500. Few months back, a simple 2 months blog that makes $100 a month can be sold for $1,000. In today's market, you will need to do more than that. The only sites that I have flipped for over a thousand dollars are product flip sites, script sites and some unique coded sites. However, please be noted that it will not be worth it to invest a whole month's of efforts just to make $1,000 from one flip when you can make ten $100 flips. |

Hey Ryan, What your talking of is definitely possible, a lot more that just that. :-) I've sold quite a few one-two month old sites for $2,000+. For an example, I sold Sitetalkzone.com, a forum like one and a half month old for $2250. And take a look at this - Autoblog store - has made over 2k in sales in first eight days since launch..... (not mine) Sold for near $17k and was a ... half a month old site? Sure he put a lot of time and effort into it, but even then $17k is a very good sum. You may also write a product, sell it on Clickbank, gather affiliates etc and then flip after a month for a very good sum. Best of luck! |

I don't want to create 10 sites and flip them for $100 each. I want to do one big site to see if it can be done. My main method to boost the price is gaining subscribers

I usually get from $300-$400 for start-ups and sometimes more. Established sites with provable traffic and maybe a little income it's much easier to get bigger bucks. I sell mostly on Sitepoint because it's been easy for me to sell sites there.

What stats did you have to get $300-$400? What kind of traffic, subscribers, income etc?

These are sites that have had very low traffic, no sales or subscribers. Most of mine are autoblogs that have a lot of content and a lot of indexing which increases their value. If you go to domainingdiva.com ... the second post you can see which of my sites have sold and how much they sold for on sitepoint.

Well I've been in site flipping business since 2005 but I never experience to sell a 31 day old site for $1000 but $1000 is attainable if you sell few more sites. This days buyers are more wiser now, most of them don't buy new sites unless the site have very good potential. Buyers will buy your site base on earnings, traffic, design, age, domain and quality of the content. If you sell a single site that is 31 day old for $1000, I guess that is a record and you can sell to thousand site flippers your method then. |

I have done this so it can definitely be done. It is best to hold out for the 30 days so you can spend time proving an income and getting to list under established sites.

So $2k for a first month earnings of $950 is not that bad. Also, that site has an amazing design. A lot of people said designs don't matter which is totally untrue. I have been flipping for nearly 2 years now and I must say design is a VERY important selling point.
