Hey guys!

I am starting a Job Site soon, probably in the next 3-5 days it will be complete, Im putting together the POA( Plan of Attack) then launching next week. So I do have a few questions hopefully some of you can help me out with.

1) Simplyhired and Indeed Jobs API - Do they pay per application - or pay at all?
2) What are some ways to Monetize the site?
- I was thinking content locker
- Also thinking co reg path like Search page> Offer Page ( 3-5 offers with check boxes) then Result page ( if allowed)

3) Traffic Methods?
- Social Media
- Radio ads ( got a hookup for 4 huge local stations)
- Email campaigns ( have over 1.5 million emails i can blast - cant hurt?)
- CPC Traffic and Affiliate programs?
- Organic LOCAL keywords w/ jobs
- Got a hookup with massive Craigslist postings

Guys any Ideas or suggestions on HOW i can make money from this site, im pretty sure i can get the traffic - just need ways to monetize, mainly IF those job API's payout at all?

Thanks!

    - Email campaigns ( have over 1.5 million emails i can blast - cant hurt?) You built this list yourself? Or is this a bought list? If bought, I'd suggest you don't message them. People will, scream spam real quick....

Ha at first I thought you were talking about starting work as a construction dude on a job site. LOL. Yeah anyway, if you hire a bunch of virtual assistants to post out on the job forums to try and get traffic to your job website, then this should do the trick. You could also buy ads promoting your site in the help wanted section.

As far as a monetization method, you could charge companies to post jobs like all the others do. This might deter people from using your site though.

I disagree with this as a start off method. How can you start charging if no one has ever even heard of this site, let alone seen the results. I wouldnt have created a job website until I figured out how their API's work...do your research before you start a plan of attack.

I am all about 'taking the leap' and impulse however, you are:

    - Putting up a site (not a hobby blog) without a monetization plan?

    - Don't know how you are going to deliver the site's core product?

A jobsite can mean many things- classifieds, feed driven, manual posts etc. Is it possible to take another several weeks and work these things out? You don't have to have all the answers and really, not even most but you should at least have some beyond the idea.

FYI - When you say MASSIVE Craiglist posting - I am assuming your 'connection' is going to BLAST your site using posting Software. Man - all I will say is this will get your site visits but will cost you much more (possibly search black-listing by Google) in both the short and long-term.

Your connection may have 'proxy' servers etc but remember, he may be able to mask WHAT IP this BLAST comes from but what about your domain name?

This software isn't like email blasting software (legal). Be careful

Start a blog and promote it on Social Media few days ahead of the launch. Radio ads is a good idea. I would add press release as well.It just makes launch look serious.

Ways to monetise the ways - Dont worry about it at the moment. Let the site garner some traffic. There are quite a few ways of monetizing a job site. It can be from the employer, employee (for premium features) or ads from third parties including training institutes. And the list is just a beginning.

Thanks for all your input guys!

Well honestly, Id rather have my site launched then just sitting as a doodle on my notepad, this way it starts to generate some traction and gains some rep.

As for the craigslist postings, yes a little shady. but i am interested in seeing its response, i can always go a legit method just scaled down.

I have no thought of charging for premium access to "Premium" Job Postings.

And perhaps a content locker, or exit path.

    thanks for your input guys!
