I am getting a custom site made and IDK which to choose. To have a WP design or an HTML design.

    If you have the skills HTML will be better, but if you don't and are not interested in developing them, you should to stick to WP...

    Also, there are a lot of plugins that make WP the preferred platform for almost everyone that's not techie.

    So, I guess, it depends on your knowledge and your comfort zone

    Yeah go with wordpress if you don't have much for skills it is a incredibly easy platform with plugins and themes to do basically anything you want.

    Start with WordPress is easy for you without any knowledge of HTML.
    WordPress have a lot of Free theme and Plug in which help you build a good functional website within a short of time.

    Using
    -SEO plugin
    -Social media plugin
    -Mobile support plugin or Responsive theme

    If I need to put something up quick and involves only a page or two, I generally go for html. Not only does it load faster, it doesn't take up so much space on my server. Wordpress is great if you want to do a blog, with content that needs to be easily updated all the time.
