IM Starts Today

My IM Journey is going to start today. I feel like I have procrastinated far too long and I really need to get to work.

I am aiming to make $100 a day by March 2013. Don't worry though, this hopefully won't be too hard however since I already write a LOT for various clients + on fiverr which should bring in around half of that. I also have a retail business (online) which will bring in around $10 on average a day. I can kick both writing and online retail up a notch with a bit of investment, which I plan to in the future. The rest is going to be made up of Adsense/Amazon websites.

I know this is a tall order, but I feel I have taken enough information on board to give this a massive go. I have purchased three domain names, all similar themes. All three will be authority websites. (travel niche). I know one website is recommended for newbies, however I really do love writing, and can pack all three with content on a regular basis. I have therefore designed an update schedule for each which involves five updates a week (there is enough content out there for that! and to keep going for a few years if i really enjoy it!)

Mailing List is in the pipeline for each, so shouldn't be a problem there (main reason why I am so adamant to push forward is for six months I have paid for Aweber but have only six subscribers on my retail mailing list....not very cost effective)

    If I had to go back to 10+ years ago, right after my graduating
    from University and starting IM, as you are starting now, I would
    focus on just one website, not three like you are starting now,
    and certainly not the 1,000+ sites I wasted my time on these
    past 10+ years, .

    If you focus on just one website and spend every minute of
    your working time making it a brand that won't need only search
    engines or any one form of traffic to succeed, you will be
    amazed at how much you will achieve in a year or more, from
    now.

      I know it isn't a good idea to start more than one! It's just these ideas are something I am incredibly interested in, and to be perfectly honest, I have been playing with the ideas for a number of years so already have A LOT of content and samples written out which I need to bulk out a bit. Most of the work is there These are 'rejected' proposals from magazines that I had wrote for in the past (not rejected because they were bad, just because they already had similar content in the past or coming up!)

        I still insist that you pick the most likely-to-succeed and focus on it!

    It's good that you show such enthusiasm in progressing with your ideas.

    My question is that since you are running 3 websites at one time, have you properly set them up for SEO? It would be a waste to have all 3 of your websites not generate any traffic and sales leads for you just because you don't show up in the SERPs.

    well you certainly have your mind in the muscle and it seems like you're well prepared as well!

    Don't look at having 6 subscribers as bad because if your goal is to make $100 by next march you're in a good place. If you had a product you were pushing to sale now for $27 monthly to an active list of 6 that was a reoccurring monthly product that would already be $162 monthly which you know is going to increase as you get more knowledge of the business and keep promoting your site

    Excellent plan, Ryan! It sounds as if you have put plenty of thought into your approach.

    You may also wish to look at the possibility of obtaining a mentor (unless you already have one) to help guide your efforts and keep you accountable; you could see yourself hitting your goal much sooner than you had planned.

    It does not look like you did nothing in the past online. So you are already in the action mode.

    Stay focused and just know that you will probably have some bumps along the road. You can overcome them.
