How to get PR in a not so exciting industry.
I am not experienced in it very well but not intimidated by it either, i have gotten some friends in major publications by just sending out some emails. The problem is the industry has changed and this business is not so exciting anymore. My question is how can i still get people to want to write about an older less buzz worthy way of doing things?
Also if anyone can give me some input on how and where to hire PR people i would appreciate it. I have had great luck hiring college student for just about everything, but feel PR people need experience so they can have a list of big names they can call or email. I was going to outsource my PR efforts but just feel it would waste time.
I also have set up HARO and get some good responses, that i may be able to outsource but cold approaching media im wondering what is the most cost efficient way while being extremely effective. Thank you.
