How do you get an illustrated cover for your eBook?

I was wondering where you could go to get a cheap one or if there are any free ones?

If you're on a really tight budget, I send my students over to fiverr.com. As you can imagine, you can pick up some neat graphics for a Fiverr!

I've used Fiverr in the past but it didn't really come out how I wanted it to. Maybe it was the designer. I think there's some sort of Kindle Creator software thingamajig as a WSO. It's like 10 or 20 bucks.

You can try Fiverr and see what you get or you can get the software and edit it just the way you want it. It really depends on your budget and your expertise. But it's easy to do though. And the difference between 5 bucks and 20 bucks probably won't hurt you anyway.

I agree: Fiverr is a great resource for getting either a custom, or a generic template for ebook covers.

If you want something a little more finely tuned, you can post a gig on Elance...there, I'm guessing it would run $50 and up, though.

Do you already have the images that you want used for the e-covers?

If so PM me with them. I'll turn them into a few ecovers for free.

I have e-Cover Software Pro (the thing in my sig) so I can turn images into ecovers in just a few clicks. Only takes a minute or so. lol

Want to have it the cheap way? Go with fiverr
However, you usually get what you pay for.

If you have some more to spend you might want to check
out the "Warriors For Hire" section of this forum.
It's more expensive than fiverr but with better quality

Try fiverr, or hire a professional web graphics designer online. If you're a master at Gimp and Photoshop, try those also.
