Gmail Marking My Optins As Spam In Autoresponder

I recently started using an autoresponder/squeezepage service call bestsqueezepages dot com and I have been testing it with the squeeze page builder on the site. When I fill in the optin form on the squeeze page with my gmail email and then send a test email, Gmail marks the email as spam and it gets sent to the spam folder. Any ideas on how I can fix this, if at all possible or should I look for another autoresponder service?

Unless you are using something in the test email that is triggering .. change ar companies.

You might want to try to send something that's impossible to be marked as spam first.
Something you would write to a friend for example.
If your mail still goes to your spam box it might be your autoresponder company that's causing your message to go to spam

There are certain terms like "make money online" that have been know to trigger the spam filter. Just make sure the body of message don't include words that may be considered spammy.

Which autoresponder service are you using? Are you using Aweber? If so, what's your Spam Assassin score in Aweber for the email?

I am currently using bestsqueezepages dot com which is a combination squeeze page builder and autoresponder. The autoresponder is built into the squeeze page builder. The test email I sent was

      subject: this is a test
body : this is a test

While I am not Randall, I can tell you I have used that exact headline and body thousands of times without it going to the spam folder on five different email providers I check .. gmail being one of those.

With this including a squeeze generator the program is likely being used by a lot of newbie list builders. With that clientele, it would be a good guess there are a lot of spam complaints.

Try Email Marketing Software & Autoresponder from GetResponse .. totally no credit card needed free for one month.

Looks like it may be an issue with your AR. Why not try another one for a month (usually it's free for the first month) to see if you still have the problem.

I signed up for bestsqueezepages dot com because i got a year of hosting unlimited pages, sites, blogs, etc for $162/yr. They got me with the free autoresponder, which appears to suck. I thought I could save some money by having the AR with the hosting combined. The whole idea was to build a list using multiple squeeze pages for multiple niches then be able to broadcast emails to these lists. They do have an option where I can use their service with aweber, getresponse and other more reputable ar's. I will try that.

Ok folks, I signed up with Aweber and substituted the code for bestsqueezepages dot com internal autoresponder and voila now my emails are properly inboxing. Problem solved thanks to the help of members here. Go WF!

The mail server network of your ar company probably got flagged. You should use an ar company that is generally white listed.
